Mon Ami Gabi delivers a classic French dining experience done right. The ambiance is beautiful - elegant yet welcoming-and the wine list is thoughtfully curated with great options to complement the menu.
The standout dish is the Roast Chicken à la Mère. Perfectly crisp, golden skin on the outside with incredibly juicy, tender meat inside-simple, comforting, and executed flawlessly. It’s one of those dishes that reminds you why French classics never go out of style.
Service was excellent throughout the meal: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm without feeling rushed.

Mon Ami Gabi in Lincoln Park is where our family celebrates every important milestone. All birthdays, without exception. The steaks are unforgettable.

We love Mon Ami Gabi but last night the food was "off" The pork was terrible and my husband couldn't even eat it. The potatoes were barely warm. The drinks were fabulous as was the chicken and trout.

Overall a neutral experience, that while I am glad I was able to go to, I do not see myself returning. Granted - It is restaurant week and I can give grace where grace is needed, and to also add that Mon Ami Gabi does have a great RW deal going. However, there was a 20min wait time past our initial reservation, no coat check (that I saw or was told about) which meant our winter coats stayed with us at the table that is already small and wobbly in a space that went from cozy to cramped very quickly. An extremely tough piece of steak (medium rare), a profiterole dessert that was noticeable stale and odd timings of half of the tables desserts being dropped and than the other half getting theirs about 5 minutes later. A waitress that was difficult to get ahold of, and barely seen. I really wanted to love this experience, but unfortunately didn't, but I hope my experience was the outlier in what seems to be a great experience for others.

Good food, service is barely adequate; a notch away from rude. It's always been like that but don't let it bother you - you'll enjoy your meal!
First time here. I live around the corner and have never thought twice about coming here until a friend recommended. I’m upset i didn’t think twice earlier, hands down the best experience I’ve had in the neighborhood in a while. Felt taken care of, Micah was a great waiter and the food was phenomenal. Will be back to try the rest of the menu very soon

A little disappointing. My friend and I had the mussels. The sauce was very heavy and the mussels huge and cooked enough. I'd also recommend for a bigger selection of na beers.

Service is exceptional but the seating is a little tight between tables and not much leg room at the tables. Our was wobbly too so made things a bit more difficult when sharing plates. Other than that, we left happy and full!

Definitely a bistro experience. Valet parking was excellent on a cold evening. I believe this space was once Un Grand Cafe and it retains the euro feel. Great place for celebration or a nice evening out. We will be going again!
