Loved it!! I came across the gem from a Google search of "bars in Chicago", & based on reviews, I chose this one. All the good reviews are true! Walking in, you're immediately thrown back into time, giving you "speakeasy" vibes. The ambiance is what really sets the mood here.. dark, with intimate red lighting. The songs playing were so smooth & easy to vibe to.? Tables are first come, first serve, & there are 2 bars inside to serve each side of the restaurant. They sell appetizers, but as I didn't see anyone ordering food, I didn't either. Our waitress was attentive, & quick to bring our drinks.. which were AMAZING ?????? There was a constant influx of patrons, of all races and ages, which showed me this is a popular bar with the locals too. There was also a photo booth inside, which I thought added the cutest touch! I'll definitely return here in the near future!?????

Really nice cocktail bar with dope drinks. There's a sister bar called "sunny gun" which is a bright venue with a lot of sunlight and outdoor / indoor seating compared to the more speakeasy like money gun venue. Huge fan of the atmosphere and vibes - they play nice R&B mixes and the cocktails are good. Their essential cocktails will run you $15 each and they have specialty drinks that also run around $15. The venue generally opens at 5 pm and you can usually find seating either at the bar or at a table if you come early. Would recommend to visit for the vibes and drinks!

Music is fire drinks are also reasonable for the price and ambiance and interior are classy yet edgy and sexy. Get here early on a Friday or Saturday night to skip the line.

Great drinks and the service was good! I did not try the food so I would have to go back but overall I had a great time due to the upbeat ambiance and good music.

Moneygun unfortunately does not live up to its hype as a must-go cocktail bar in Chicago. I had been wanting to come here for awhile but was underwhelmed with my experience here. I want to come back in the summer and see if my impression of the place is changed at all if I'm able to sit on the patio. We came around 5pm for a Friday happy hour. The space felt a bit dingy with low red lighting, a strange layout, and outdated flooring and office ceiling tiles. We were able to sit down at a both right away which was nice. Our group came for the happy hour special-- the special includes a variety of martinis with a free side of fries for each drink you order. I found it off-putting that the establishment had no paper menus. When I asked the waitress for one, she looked at me as if I was crazy! The last thing I want to be doing is scrolling in the dark through a bar or restaurant's website and having to zoom into read every detail as I'm trying to order and socialize with my friends. We had a variety of cocktails: espresso martinis, cosmos, and appletinis to name a new. I had an appletini and really enjoyed the cocktail. They also had dirty martinis as part of the happy hour special. I think the drinks here are good and would come back in the summer at sit on the patio and be out of the cramped inside. It seemed as though they were rationing the fries during happy hour because each of our drinks came with literally 2-4 singular fries and that's it. I understand it's a special and I wasn't expecting anything crazy but it would have been nice to have more than a Costco sample size. I did appreciate how all of the fries came with their bowl little bowl of ketchup for dipping. Willing to try this place again but was not impressed with my first time unfortunately.

If you want classic cocktails then this is the place to go. There created cocktails left much to be desired. Classic cocktails were great though. I feel bad for our waitress, she seemed like the only person running drinks and she needed help. Service time was solid though and no fault of hers.Kid-friendliness: Not for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Would be tough to access and they can only be in the first area.

Dimly lit cocktail bar playing non-stop throwback songs, great place for a date or gathering with a small group. We came on a Thursday and it was pretty busy around 8p but we were able to snag a seat at the bar. They have a huge cocktail list and we ordered several Martinis, and bourbon forward cocktails and there were great. Also recommend the spinach artichoke dip, you can tell from my pics how dark it is but it's a great vibe.

Don't waste your time here! Long wait times and the bartenders seem to all have attitudes!?Doesn't makes sense to spend my money somewhere and not be greeted with an good attitude. There are also other speakeasies in the neighborhood I rather spend money at.
