This place always deliver. The best beer selection in the loop. The food is good too; nothing gourmet, but plenty tasty with a good brew. And the ambiance is friendly; people who can behave even after two boozy ales.

I really like this poem it's such a quaint little place. Reminds me of Europe somewhere where you can go into a nice little bug and have great beer! Definitely a must see

Building is super cool. A rustic, charming pub with stained glass fixtures and germanic styling.
Service was friendly - sat at the bar.
The fish and chips - at only 16 bucks its hard to be too harsh (considering location). Fries were good, fish was very boxed-fishstick tasting (aka gross).
People did seem to be enjoying their burgers so many go for that. Dont recommend the dish I got, but the beer was good and service was nice.

Tipped 18% on a 300 bill and the server came back to me regarding my tip saying people tip 20 per 100 and said I didn’t tip enough. This was after only ordering drafts and cans.
Monk’s Pub is one of those old-school Chicago spots that just hits different. The vintage books, dark wood, and barrels give it this cozy, European tavern feel—perfect for a laid-back night. Ordered the Monkburger ($15) with Swiss and mushrooms, and it was legit one of the best bar burgers I’ve had downtown. Paired it with a Weihenstephaner hefeweizen ($8), which fit the vibe perfectly. Service was quick, and even though it gets packed during happy hour, it never feels too rowdy. If you’re looking for a solid burger, good beer, and a chill atmosphere, this is your spot!

Iconic Chicago Loop bar with a great beer list that rotates frequently and usually includes several local brews. Solid food menu and super unique decor / atmosphere. National historic landmark candidate.
This place is so cute. What a great crowd serving there. Perfect for a loop lunch meeting

Packed in like sardines and a bit pricey for my taste considering all the happy hours happening at 4pm. Good beer and service though.

Fun pub! Energetic atmosphere. Cool decor. Friendly and knowledgeable staff should you have any questions on the beer. Easy enough snagging a table. Will definitely be back again!
