One of the best beer bars in the city of Chicago... Especially for belgian quads and imperial stouts... Great atmosphere.

We had an event here with about 30-35 people they assigned Natalie to us and she was amazing. Every time I looked up to tell a new person who to speak to, she was there. Every drink ordered was retrieved quickly and delivered to the right person. People would ask for suggestions based on their interests and she always had top notch recommendations. Natalie was the best!

Perhaps the best beer selection in the city, especially if you're into Belgians. Food is good too - the burger deserves to be on the shortlist of best burgers in Chicago.

Perhaps my favorite bar in the entire city of Chicago. Great selection, great atmosphere, and great food. The staff are wonderful! If you are a fan of European and imported beers, this place is a must.

Great place for some beer and food. Trevor behind the bar killed it even while it was really busy

As part of a conference we were attending this week, we did a walking tour through Chicago all about the Lager beer riot of 1855. Our tour ended at Monk's Pub. They don't accommodate reservations after a certain time, so we were at the mercy of the bar for seating. They were able to split us into smaller groups and get us seated pretty quickly which we appreciated. A few members of our group ordered some food and seemed to enjoy the offerings. The drinks were good and the service was quick! I hope I can come back some time.

Long-standing bar, both dive bar and upscale, little changed in many years. Right under the "el" tracks. Heavy oak doors. Count on it being crowded most any evening. Done burger and sandwich selection, though I just had a chili. Only a dozen beers on tap, more in bottles, with a great selection of craft and imports.Parking: Street parking is metered and usually full. Plenty of parking garages around. Use Parkwhiz or Spothero to find a good rate.

Beers were great, lots of different offerings too, not many pubs open on weekend in Chicago so this was a pleasure to find..Melissa was very helpful with my billing issue.

Generally only able to order and pick up food to go. I highly recommend The Maple Brisket burger which I've ordered more times than I should admit. Perfection every time. I should include a picture but oops.... too late. Sooo good and wait staff is the best. Always helpful!

Monk's is my favorite pub in the loop. The quirky lighting inside and tables everywhere make it so that you come for a drink and not a rowdy time. Even on St. Paddy's we managed to snag a table and the service was AMAZING! There was always someone checking on us and bringing waters. We ordered loaded tots and cheese curds and wow the curds were divine. The tots were crispy but needed some more toppings for sure. They have a good selection of beers on draft and even have a seltzer if that's more your vibe.
