I stopped to get lunch and while parking I noticed Moore Poppin and I LOVE to support our black owned businesses! As soon as I walked in, I believe I was greeted by the owner, he was so nice and personable and he let me know that the popcorn is beyond delicious! Well he was right!! The flavor of both the cheese and caramel is quite good! The only thing is that the cheese is slightly stale BUT I’m still going to finish my bag lol and I’ll definitely visit again for sure!!

Just spent $13.23 for a prepackaged (not sure how many ounces, cause it’s not specified) spicy cheese & caramel corn…& the cheese corn is stale. Should have know when I saw the bins of already popped white corn stacked in the front of the store. Flavor is on point…freshness fell flat.

I tried the popcorn when this place first opened up and it was astounding! The flavor was amazing, for both the caramel and cheese popcorn. The atmosphere was amazing as well. I felt very welcome when I first walked in. Such great service from everyone!

I learned that the owner of this shop previously opened a popcorn shop in the Hyde Park area some years ago! He was there and he greeted us. What a great memory that he remembered us!We came in as a last minute errand on the way home, but this was my 2nd time trying the popcorn. It was a fun and festive environment on a Saturday afternoon. Like a certain other popcorn shop, the smell was very inviting! Our sample of the spicy cheese was good, but we ordered the Moore Mix which was similar to the 'Chicago-mix', caramel and cheese. The 2 issues I have with it is that there was hardly any caramel, just 85% cheese! Oh well next time I'll insist on more caramel. Also, they don't have a plain or butter option! We need a place besides a movie theater to get plain fresh popcorn! Is it just me? I can't wait til my schedule and diet bring me back to the place.

I was highly anticipating the opening of this newest competitor to take "Garrett's" extremely long term popcorn shop throne. When i first tried to get inside,i literally couldn't get in because the door was locked ladies and gentlemen. This was most definitely during their actual business hours in the afternoon.I went to the nearest indoor entrance thinking that maybe the popcorn shop was connected on the right side of this area and it wasn't.After coming back to get in again,i was finally able to get in.A brand new business should not be this way when it just opened up very recently, period. The one male and one female employee i met both had sense enough to speak to me,treating me like a human being as they should very fortunately.Their only offering 4 varieties of popcorn. The varieties are Cheese, Cheese & Caramel Mix,Cajun Spice, and Pecan Crunch.I didn't see their Pecan Crunch one, despite the fact that they said they have it available right now.I only saw the other 3 varieties i just mentioned. The decent female employee gave me a sample of the Cheese & Caramel and the Cajun Spice varieties. The Cajun Spice one is decent.I also thought that the Cheese & Caramel variety was decent enough too.So i decided to order a small bag of their Cheese & Caramel variety only.I mentioned "Garrett's" to them for competition reasons and both of them said "Don't mention Garrett's" in their popcorn shop.I don't think they said this to me disrespectfully undercover, but that doesn't mean that they was joking with me for fun either. After finally getting my 11 dollars plus small bag of their Cheese & Caramel Mix back home, this is when i found out the truth about how it really is taste wise overall. The cheese part of their mix is very shockingly kind of similar to "Garrett's" version. The caramel part of their Mix very shockingly has a deeply burnt flavor unfortunately. Now the two employees i met told me that their "Pecan Crunch" is Cheese,Caramel, and Pecans.I thought that i was going to be getting that variety in the future, but i have never experienced a deeply burnt Caramel popcorn flavor from a popcorn shop ever until now.At least the ambiance of this latest popcorn shop in Chicago is a solitude vibe instead of a deeply disrespectful nightclub vibe.Indoor seating and restrooms don't exist here, because the space is like 2 prison cells small in it's overall size.A very simple popcorn shop vibe interior that doesn't pretend to be anything else.
