We had a lovely experience at Mordecai for our New Years Eve dinner. Chase was our server and paced out our entire night beautifully. We had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend visiting this location soon!

Such a great experience from start to finish. We shared the polenta fries and mussels to start. Both were really good. For entrées, we went all pasta with the sweet potato gnocchi and sausage rigatoni. Excellent flavor, seasoned well. Dessert sealed the deal: no-flour chocolate tart and butter cake...so good. And I have to mention the old fashioned made with their house-blend whiskey. We honestly wanted a pitcher. Big shoutout to our server, Chase, and Executive Chef Djibril Webb. They actually read my OpenTable profile and noticed I'd selected vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian preferences (which I had totally forgotten about). They double-checked everything and were super attentive. Loved that. Overall, excellent food, great service, good vibes, and the playlist was on point too.

Went here for a quiet Monday dinner! Amazing service, creative cocktails, delicious food, and cozy vibes and such charm! So sweet especially for the holidays with a cute indoor view of Christkindlmart and ice skating. We will definitely be back!

Went last night and felt like I walked into a snow globe. Close to Gallagher way and wrigley field. The decor was cute and holiday cocktails so yum. All house made pastas and polenta fries were great! Awesome wine list. Nice service.

While staying at the Zach, Mordecai is very conveniently located right downstairs. Food & drinks were very good and I like the “small plate” format which allows to try different things without all of the add ons. We visited on a Friday night with Christkindlmarket across the street at Wrigley so very busy which may have attributed to the restaurant being very loud and seating tightly spaced. Overall though, a fun night.

The service was sparse. Our server was very pleasant, but unavailable and inattentive. Our foccacia appetizer took 45 minutes to arrive from time ordered, and our pastas took an hour for the first two to arrive, and then another 10 for the second two of our party to receive theirs. One of the pastas was incorrectly made, it it took 10 minutes for our server to resurface to have the kitchen remake it correctly, which took another 15 minutes, so the other three were finished eating before the fourth even received her meal. Lastly, it took forever to receive and pay for our meal. Unsure what was going on with our server. Then, the host validated our parking tickets incorrectly, causing us to return from the garage to have them validated correctly. No one seemed to know what they were doing. Perhaps all new employees? Despite the festive decor and cute setting, I would not recommend dining here. Will not return.

An amazing locale that offers a scrumptious burger and drinks! The one in charged of the music deserves kudos as well.

Great experience. Great cocktails and was well taken care of by my bartender.

The food was excellent. Our server was superb! The drink were a little pricey, but that's true for any nice restaurant these days. Whenever we are in Wrigleyville, Mordecai is our go to restaurant.

Mordecai is cozy and has a suave and sophisticated atmosphere. I ordered the swordfish, which was very tender and delicious, and I had a Concession Cola to accompany the meal, which was refreshing and tasted like Dr. Pepper. The service was also excellent. My friend is vegan and the restaurant didn’t have a specific vegan/vegetarian menu, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate his dietary restrictions.

Went here for my anniversary and we loved it. Enjoyed the drinks and the food. I ordered myself the burger, while my wife got one of the pasta dishes. Great food overall. I enjoyed the service as well, although they forgot one of the appetizers that we ordered but we didn't mind it, it happens. Would definitely come back to try more dishes.

We stopped in for a late night drink (so no food actually). Excellent service, large selection of whiskeys and cocktails from which to select. I received outstanding advice on which bourbon to use for my Manhattan, and server was friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended by Whiskey Advocate magazine, and very much worth stopping in for a visit!

The drinks and food are always on point here! It's a great place to grab a drink that's not a sticky floored bar in Wrigley!

I love to hit Mordecai before Cubs games. The staff is excellent, Their menu is short, efficient and delicious. It is all very reasonably priced. You simply can't beat it for a quick bite before the ballgame. Additionally the mixologist are talented and very accommodating.
