This place is ridiculously good. Had the Brown Line burger.. now they’ll be my go-to spot. Service is great too. I was waiting outside (I’m a smoker) and the lady up front brought my food out to me which was nice. She was friendly and helpful from the jump too. Great spot.

I have been hearing this place a lot and their chicken sandwich was a s good as they said it would be. I really love the taste of their chicken, Its the best chicken I had in the area. I would definitely bring my friends next time.

The owner is extremely nice, he grilled the onions for me and gave me free fries even though I told him i don't live around the area. The grilled chicken sandwich is excellent. I told the owner I was looking for a job and he said he'd call his friend who's in sales for me. Really great experience there. Very friendly food was excellent and quick.

Ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and both of them had multiple pieces of bone in them. Chicken was very dry and overcooked… at least the tots and onion rings were good, but the majority of our meals went in the trash

I’ve been looking for my perfect broasted chicken spot, and I found it! The service is absolutely amazing and so is the food and the speed. Perfect place to have lunch after being at the DMV!

I have driven past this place multiple times, I can’t believe I’ve never stopped! I have been to many chicken places, including many that made that supposed top 10 list of best chicken places in Chicago, this is easily in my top two or three. When I first walked in I was met by a cheerful and bubbly young lady at the counter. Behind her was an equally enthusiastic gentleman waiting in the kitchen area for her to send him my order. The customer service experience was exceptional, I was absolutely shocked when I saw that a four piece dinner with two sides was just over $10. The chicken was easily some of the BEST , JUICIEST chicken I’ve ever had ( that included the breast which in my experience is usually dry) I was a little wary when I saw that the mashed potatoes did not have any gravy, But to my surprise they were incredibly creamy, flavorful and moist!I absolutely give this place five stars as far as their service, customer service and the quality and taste of their food. Even though I have to admit there was one side that was awful, but this goes to show just how amazing everything else was that I am still willing to give this place five stars. I was not able to finishThe macaroni and cheese, but I did not go there for the macaroni and cheese, and I will absolutely be going here in the future! I will drive past three different fried chicken places to eat here !!

I was a regular at Mother Cluckers in Palatine before it closed. I always got the chicken fingers because the were so good. I took an hour round trip to try the Chicago location yesterday and was so disappointed. The chicken fingers were rubbery. I took the breading off to look at the chicken and it looked like it had either been freezer burned or put on defrost in a microwave too long. So disappointed because I know how good the chicken can be.

Service calling in our order was great. Friendly staff. Nice environment when we walked in. However the breading on the chicken tenders was over cooked. Food was lacking flavor. Chicken was dry. This is just our opinion. Would not recommend. Pricey also.

It is quite possible that shrimp tacos isn’t their best item on the menu. Catfish was meaty but lacked flavor as well. Real hit was side dishes or condiments like baked beans that came with catfish and cole slaw for the tacos. However, the portions were disappointingly small that they weren’t satisfying.Overall, this place looks to be popular but my first impression wasn’t a good one with the quality and quantity of food that came up short and unfriendly staff.

Ordered a wrap and they give me this… I even asked what the chicken Asian wrap was and the guy said nothing about just romaine and chickenExtremely disappointed!

After indulging in po' boy sandwiches and other traditional Cajun and Creole dishes while traveling along Louisiana's River Road, my wife and I couldn't wait to return to Chicago to sample the best po' boy sandwiches that the city has to offer. What is a po' boy sandwich? It is a Louisiana staple that varies from restaurant to town but, typically, a classic po' boy includes toasted French bread stuffed with some type of fried meat or fish or shrimp and dressed with tomatoes, romaine lettuce, pickles, mayo and a generous spread of hot sauce for a Creole kick. It is Louisiana's equivalent of a submarine sandwich. Classic fillings are fried oysters, fried shrimp, roast beef, crab, crawfish, baked ham, catfish, fried chicken and Louisiana hot sausage, even alligator, duck and rabbit. Upon further review, we determined that Mother Cluckers Kitchen produces the best po' boys in town. Located at 5200 North Elston Avenue, at Laporte and Foster, in the Sauganash neighborhood, it is open from 11 to 8 Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11 to 9 on Friday and Saturday. Start with a bowl of home-made chili and choose one of four varieties of po' boy--shrimp, catfish, crawfish or chicken. I couldn't resist the shrimp po' boy--four fried shrimp with romaine lettuce and tomato with Remoulade sauce on a New England lobster roll. Sadly, my wife stilll isn't used to Cajun or Creole cooking. She preferred a pulled pork sandwich with seven ounces of pulled pork topped with coleslaw on a BBQ roll. No complaints. This is New Orleans style food, as good as advertised.

Food was hot, fresh and tasty. My husband is from the south and it really resonated with him! The cornbreaded catfish was amazing. The broasted chicken was flavorful and crispy without it being spicy which I enjoyed!

Really good food at very reasonable prices. None of us liked the baked beans but the other sides were all really good. Definitely will be back.

I can't believe I passed this place up so many times, and didn't stop to try it before. Starting with the customer service, from the moment we walked in until we left, everyone was so pleasant and attentive! Super friendly and efficient! We ordered the rib and chicken combo, with Mac & cheese, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Also added a cheddar Jalapeno cornbread muffin and fried onion strings. Everything was phenomenal and cooked to perfection!!! Chicken was crispy and juicy, ribs were fall off the bone tender. So delicious and full of flavor! I'm excited to try the other items on their menu! Thanks Mother Clucker's!!!:)
