100/10 Must visit! Staff is very friendly, you can tell by the environment. I'm on a work trip and this has now become an EASY city staple. Honorary mentions to their management, Shane! and his extremely helpful team, Riley and Tee. Those are only three of the countless Individual that made an out of towner feel at home. 100/10 review. Thank you!

We visited on St. Patrick's day. The restaurant was so slammed the day before. They were short-staffed and we did not have the same experience that we enjoyed previously. However, it was the company we were keeping which were super great people. We watched some sports on TV, ate a light lunch and had plenty of cold drinks.

If you're looking for a sports dive bar atmosphere, this is it. One of many in Chitown, but this one I love for the beer and bourbon selection.

Waitress was amazing. Could tell we were visiting and brought us shots of Malort. Have to try for the experience but terrible shot. Went a couple times because of waitress and service. Fun low key.
As my best friend's favorite sports bar in River North, Mother Hubbard lived up to that during St. Paddy's. They were prepared with green beer and Jell-O shots to start off the day. The staff is super attentive and kept cleaning so that nothing accumulated and got disgusting. They even made sure that the bagpipers made their way in to perform a couple of songs... and still there were sports still on. The DJ seemed like he barely knew what he was doing but his playlist wasn't too terrible. Kinda happy we made our way in here and had a good time.

This place is great. Been coming here for years, always a good vibe and great energy. They got pool tables / games, everything you could want for a fun night out. Especially if your visit Chicago, Great local vibe at this joint!!Thank you everyone for keeping it real! See you guys soon!!

First, the people at Mother Hubbard's are good servers and kind people That said, our server greeted us with "we are out of burgers" What? That is like a pizza place saying "we are out of pepperoni" Then, when I chose to order the tacos, our server said "we don't have those" I ended up with the buffalo pulled chicken, which was pretty good My visit was during March and their chalkboard with "specials" had a list of Christmas beers Could be a cool place, especially with all the tv's and a long beer list, but something is holding it back

My wife and two children enjoyed our visit and really had no complaints until I looked at the receipt later in the day. There was a service charge for 20% included (about $19)?? We assumed this was some Chicago billing piece in common across restaurants...although seemed quite high. I had also tipped 25% not realizing there was a service charge already included. Device was handed to me and was at the tip screen so signed and did touch the send me receipt option. The next day we went next door to Theory and incurred no such charge. The waitress was surprised when told her of the 20% next door. She said that was a tip charge and surely went to the waitress. Why did a group of 4 automatically get charged 20%? No idea, yet clearly quite annoying. Yes, I should call and seek an explanation. Theory was fantastic btw!
