My wife and I love this hotel. Great location, very clean and staff is always friendly. Zombie Taco in the lobby is a great perk as well. We have stayed here 3 times over the last year and plan to stay here again.

Rooms are ridiculously small. The shower is literally in the bedroom, so you step out of the shower directly next to your bed and then get your socks wet while getting dressed. There's nowhere to sit other than your bed or the lobby. One person is doable if you don't have much stuff, but 2 people would be a mess.
Staff was great and location had lots of good food nearby.

The room was really nicely done and the location is quite central. Would be nice to have had a few more amenities (eg fridge) in the room and a quiet lounge area

Did not stay so cannot speak on the rooms, though very impressed by Bar Moxy. As a Moxy/ Marriott manager, the bartenders were on their A-game. Very attentive staff and very impressed with the service. Great atmosphere and location!!!

Kind of noisy at night

Very interesting to say the least… I kinda liked it. You get like trendy millennial bar vibes downstairs, you can’t really tell it’s a hotel at first. When I tell you I WISH I took a photo of the shower curtain in my room. It was a temu styled AI photo of just a girls lips about to bite a red white and blue candy cane? I was a little confused. Also kinda wish there was a trash can in the main room and not just the bathroom. Super nice staff.

The Moxy is such a cute hotel. I love the eccentric and colorful vibes decorated throughout the hotel. The lobby has a plethora of games, comfortable seating, bar, and a cool taco restaurant. When I checked in, the front desk employee gave me a poker chip for a complimentary drink. I completely forgot to use it when I went to the bar. This just means that now I have another added reason to return.

Speaking of the bar, the bartender I encountered was super friendly. He made the best cherry mocktail and was a joy to talk to. He was busy, and yet greeted and helped everyone in a timely manner.

The room I had was small, but cozy. As a solo traveler, I had no issues with navigating around the room. The sink being placed outside of the bathroom was convenient. The shower was also a nice size. I did notice a stain on one of the pillows. I just didn't use that pillow. There is also an ironing room, which is perfect because I typically bring wrinkle release spray for my clothes. No need this time. I can't wait to return to this hotel soon. The location of the hotel is also top-tier.

This is our absolute favorite hotel! We try to stay here every time we come to the city! Deja is the sweetest bartender ever and she makes a killer drink! Also say hi to the staff at Zombie Taco! It’s so good!

I’m a Brazilian tourist, and I stayed at the Moxy Chicago for a week during the last week of July. My experience was amazing—simple and laid-back vibe, great location for exploring, felt super safe, and had plenty of good food options. And my stay couldn’t have been better, thanks to Jared, Camila, and Cristal. Top-notch customer service—super helpful, attentive, and full of cool ideas for things to do around the city. They made all the difference... Huge thanks to them!

The room was not close to be as nice as in Mannheim, Frankfurt and Amsterdam - it was really clean, but quite depressing from it‘s atmosphere.

Horrible experience. Bartender acted annoyed with every request. As a server / bartender I am appalled at the way I was treated at this establishment. I treat my guests with the upmost respect. Bartender made me feel like a burden for a simple draft beer and water request. She then proceeded to call me out in front of other patrons for leaving her a well deserved 10% tip.
The Zombie Tacos are amazing. Skip the Moxy Lounge.

Two-bed rooms: Not for families
Visited with my wife and college student son. To our surprise rooms have two queen beds but no bathrooms. No privacy. Better rooms have a curtain (We were moved to one after complaining). No closets. Toilet and shower stall open straight into the room space. OK for solo travelers or romantic couples - not for anyone else who wants privacy.
And no, other Moxy properties do have bathrooms. But not this one. Very very disappointing.
If you do go, dj in the lobby will be loud for lower floors.
Location is great.

Fun, Accessible, and Great Value

Moxy Chicago is exactly what you’d expect from a Marriott lifestyle hotel—great location, cool design, and excellent value. The vibe is fun and social, especially with the DJ nights and drinks at the bar, but the rooms are still quiet, cozy, and perfect to relax in.

It’s also wheelchair accessible, which made a big difference for me. The space is well thought out, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. A great stay overall—highly recommend if you want something stylish, lively, and convenient without breaking the bank.
