Really glad i discovered this unassuming commercial Chgo fish market that sells to the public as well!...can't believe i've driven past it a thousand times, never noticed, bldg is nondescript....my new source of sushi favorites, eel, tuna, salmon, octopus, fresh daily arrivals 🦐 🐟 🐙
Insane quality at a very good price. I paid $10 per pound for this snapper (compared to $13-17 in most supermarkets), and it’s wayyyyy better than any supermarket find. I opened the package and was immediately amazed by this tall snapper. In supermarkets the snappers are usually way leaner and I was used to a long snapper instead of a tall one because of that. I cut out the fillet for some stew and simply roasted the jaws in some olive oil and garlic salt, and omg. Just so juicy...
I drove out to MPS because of all the wonderful reviews and it’s a warehouse. It appears they provide fish for local restaurants in the area. I rang the bell no one answered, and then I called and no one answered.
