The people complaining on here seem to not be POC, so they wouldn’t know about good mexican food & always feel entitled. Service, food & everything was great. Got the chilaquiles verdes with asada and it didn’t disappoint. Would recommend anybody looking for authentic mexican food with a relaxing, warming atmosphere
Service was horrible, waited about 2 hours to get our food. Server was not friendly , and kept saying they were out of every drink we were asking for. The food was okay , but not worth the wait .

One hour waiting outside plus They take 2 hours to bring your food out after they sit you down, they didn’t have a lot of customers, just the employees not coordinated.

I visited this place once, and I have no intention of returning. It seems like they hurry you along. When I finally received my food, I discovered a hair in it. I wasn’t aiming to cause a scene, but I couldn't eat it; it absolutely disgusted me. After paying, I just left.

Lets start off by saying this place is authentic mexican food. The negative reviews that people have left are honestly pretty dumb considering that they dont see why the food takes a while. I let their food speak for itself. Thats why people keep coming back. Yes they might take a while to have the food ready. But keep in mind there is only about 3 servers. Its a small family owned business and you can tell they work really hard to get everyone satisfied. I ordered the chilaquiles rancheros and they were delicious. A bit spicy but definitely worth the wait. Their food is made FRESH AND FROM SCRATCH. the people who came on here to give them a bad review clearly never had made from scratch mexican food. Its worth the wait believe me. The big conchitas that they served is HUGE perfect for a family. We got the molcajete salsa with cheese and hand made tortillas. It was worth the appetizer. The horchata frappe is pretty good and the horchata itself is delicious. I will come back to support these people. Their food is amazing and i understand why they are behind when it comes to orders but at the end of the day. The servers will work hard and fast to attend all customers. Especially when they are mad. Muchas gracias Mr.Chilaquil. we will be back next time we are in town.

FOOD WAS DELICIOUS if you are into authentic latin food. Spicy 🌶️ Meals and delicious 🤤 drinks . THIS IS A AUTHENTIC LATIN RESTAURANT and there is a long wait due to the extreme amount of people walking in to eat here so be prepared for the wait . Waiters dont stop attempting to get to everyone and make sure your table is getting what they need. Be kind and understanding of the wait when coming here and i assure you the food will be authentically delicious .

I fell for the TikTok/IG hype.Great concept bad execution.
While the portions were generous the flavor was nothing out of this world to support the pricing. I had the Mr. Chilaquil ($25) which are homemade tortillas stuffed with cheese then fried. Mine was undercooked I could taste the raw dough. My mom ordered chilaquiles al chipotle ($18). She said it tasted more like tomato and hardly any chipotle. Cafe de olla ($4)was ok but watered down. $0.25 extra for milk??
The space cramped, employees were running around. If you’re stuck waiting for a table inside you’re practically standing next to people eating.
They have an indoor and outdoor space but nothing that flows from the inside to outside.
Worth giving it a try but not something I would return for or recommend.

I would have given this restaurant 0 stars but that option was not available. Not only does this place take a really, really long time(over an hour) to make the food but the portion does not match the price. It is extremely expensive (Over $70) for some cut up tortillas.

This place was soo good! I was on a trip from NC and stopped here 2 times and had a great experience. I called before hand to ask about a wait time but there was none. My partner and I had the queso fresco with fresh handmade tortillas! The food is very authentic and the prices are reasonable considering the food is handmade. I am surprised to see the bad reviews. We had a great experience both times. The staff is friendly and the wait on food was very reasonable.
