The café de olla and concha were great!! The atmosphere created by the lovely ladies is awesome and makes you feel right at home. I ordered the stuff chilaquilles de mole and was not disappointed! We all enjoyed our meal, but the tamales for me was the high light!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽
highly recommend!!
Such friendly, patient staff . Delicious food. Worth the 45min drive. Best part is the homemade tortillas

The food was delicious. 😋 The service was great. Yeah, waited a little bit for the Mr. Chilaquil but this dumpling style dish was worth the wait. I'm not a coffee snob so I can only say the coffee was good and we got a rosca for the table which was really, really good!

We’ve been here at least 5 times. Review is overdue. Every time we go it’s with a bigger group, we all sample each others food. All of it is amazing, Mr Chilaquile specialty dish is fantastic. Cafe de olla is on point, even the huge concha that tastes bland and dry anywhere else in the world, here it is hard to stop eating it.
The place is not big and the service is very Mom n Pop, I wouldn’t change a thing. These folks go 110% for you every visit. Bring your patience and your gratitude. Great things take time, enjoy.

Food was expensive,
Coffee was watery
Vent was blowing freezing cold air in the middle of winter
No free chips and salsa
Charged me for avocado but ran out and had to offer me a free coffee instead because manager wasn’t there to remove the avocado charge from bill.

Pay attention tic tok is not real. This over priced mediocre food is not homemade. The chilaquiles should be hand made. Mine where chewy and not even nice looking. Mozzarella sticks that where deep fried. I thought they would be homemade especially calling yourself mr chilaquile. Four dollar coffee was watered down. I could out cinnamon in my coffee pot and would be better but cups were nice. That’s it the cups where nice. I could have gone downtown Chicago for better food and match the same price. The hype was a huge disappointment please read all the reviews ridiculous. I learned my lesson

I’ve been trying to come here for the longest time. Every time I’d drive by, it’s always packed inside and out, line out the door. But this one random morning, I passed by and it was almost empty, so I took my chance. And wow… now I get the hype.
Right when you walk in, there’s a lady making tortillas by hand, that alone sets the tone. The whole place feels warm and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t be nicer.
I ordered the Los Rancheros chilaquiles, two huevos estrellados with ranchero salsa, chorizo, crema, queso, and a little cilantro on top, plus some frijoles on the side. From the first bite, man… pure bliss. The salsa is full of flavor, rich and supper smoky, and the handmade chips soak it all up perfectly. Honestly, it’s not just breakfast, it's like a full-on gourmet experience. One of those meals that just makes you stop talking for a minute and enjoy the moment.

We had been to this place over a year ago and loved the food, so we decided to drive 42 minutes to go back. However, when we arrived, we were disappointed to find that it was closed for the day. The online information stated that they closed at 7, but it was around 4:20 when we arrived. It was a bummer, and we won’t be making this drive again.
