Ok first thing first the people that go here really make the space, they dont work but doesnt matter your table or the song you wanna share, your welcome !. Your in community .! That was what really impressed me.
Now the staff , they dont care if your recording your friend sing , or they are working a job will walk in front of you, your camera , you got lumber jack, to my fashion is my life hair working here. The Dj i dont know if he doesnt know his equipment or why i should trust them with a qr code when they can make a song play that links data mining to my phone Serioulsy they need a paper sign up nd webpage not. QR Mess of mining nd lets restart the puter. 7 times in 90 minutes. Hey tech happens but its your gig you cant My phone app could.
Finally on staff my bartender , check on me only twice while walking in front of my 11 times. My beer was empty. 7$ old style well. In a can.

But when i hand them a 10 $ they dont come back. Sorry you didnt deserve a 3 $ tip. Im a 25% plus tipper. You bring back my three dollar i give you 2 or in this case i would have left 1.75$ respect nd dignity. But they didnt comr back . I wasnt about to be like i pick my tip you get wages but no way earned 3$. All that aside. I really had a good night it was not the staff but the people filling the bar with song, laughter nd happyness. You could be ton deaf bit you out your love nd passion in the song in that is the community i met that night. This place wouldnt take much to get to 5 stars. I will definelty give them another chance. Uptown is a very deverve part of lower northside, to bad the staff i met. Made me feel taken nd not part of everything else i saw that night. Which was song , beauty , welcoming.

My Buddy’s is a bar/restaurant with great food ! Very delicious ! They have Drag Bingo, Trivia Night, Football night, lots of fun activities for different nights of the week ! Noise levels are dependent on the nightly activity . If you come early, you can get a table! If you plan to come with a large group or later, you may want/need to reserve a table ! (Depends on activity - definitely want to reserve a table for Drag Bingo ! )

We had a really poor experience here. We had to ask three separate times just to get enough forks to eat. Part of our order was never put in, and our server seemed more focused on figuring out her tips before leaving than actually taking care of our table. Don’t expect condiments unless you track someone down, and if you’re looking for AC, it’s only in the very back. If you want to actually enjoy a meal, I’d suggest going somewhere else.

Food is great and service is fine but the owner seriously needs to do something about the AC. It was cold as a cucumber last year so it’s not like having decent AC isn’t possible. It feels like the owner just wants to save money on electricity and one day that negligence is going to wind up with a drag performer passing out or worse. It has become a health hazard.

Went in for the first time with some friends for drag bingo and it was awesome !! The servers were so nice, the food was really good, and the vibes were immaculate. If you're looking to get drunk and have a good time, I suggest coming for their events !

Get the guacamole! You can tell they give you like two full avocados in ya little bowl, and the chips are made fresh to order. Also excellent drag shows.

Fun place, however the food was really disappointing. I ordered three tacos - almost $6 each. Portion size was good but the ingredients, the flavor, the prep was all so messy and lacking.
Nothing tasted fresh. The ground beef was way too salty. The steak was tender but fatty and lacked flavor. The chicken was dry and gave the impression of being a day or two old and chopped up so as not to go to waste. The mac and cheese on the chicken taco (strange but thought I'd give it a try), was flavorless.
For just $1 more you could get phenomenal flavor from Velvet Taco, or for a few dollars less you could still get better tacos at El Gallo Bravo across the street.
