I liked the menu of options and I liked what I ordered (jalapeño burger with fries). The food came out quick and I would certify eat it again if ever in that area of Chicago. The place itself wasn’t all that welcoming, a majority of the seating sections were closed off, it wasn’t clear if it was sit down or order at the counter and when I went to the counter, nobody came to help me for longer than expected even though there were employees on site who could clearly see me...
It was just mediocre. It felt a little "cheap", no homemade soulfood vibes at all. I've had the Reuben Sandwich, which honestly just tasted like Cloves. As Side I got the Mac n Cheese, which had a weird cheese sauce (tasted like it was made from a powder, which I am sure it was) However, my spouse's sandwich (BBQ somethin) was very good.
food came out fast and there are a lot of options. had the tacos and brussels; tacos were just ok and the brussels seemed like they were fried from frozen. Updated from previous review on 2025-05-04
