So comfy and spacious inside and they have the most delectable spiced apple chai I have ever tasted. Truly delicious and good quick service!

It's not what I expected. They didn't have scramble eggs, I ordered French toast, but it was just toasted bread. They had espresso machine broken. However, taste of food was good. But I didn't like most - gnat flying around my food. And I paid for coffee and 1 toasted bread with fruits $20-its too much. In Yolk for same prise I would get way better service and food. I was disappointed

This area of South Loop is really lacking in well-crafted espresso drinks. This cafe has become my go-to! Significantly better than other shops close by.

I stop by here regularly, and it never disappoints! The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful, making every visit a pleasure. The environment is warm and inviting—perfect for settling in with a book or just relaxing. The espressos are consistently bright and rich, giving a real boost to my mornings. The food is equally delightful. I particularly enjoy their sweet oatmeal on Saturday mornings, which is a weekend treat. Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or looking to unwind, this place is a gem!

We were quite disappointed with our visit. Upon arriving, we placed our order at the counter, and while we weren’t thrilled that a tip was already included, we let it slide. We sat outside, waiting for our food, but it turned out we were supposed to pick up our order ourselves—something we weren’t informed of. By the time we went inside, our coffee had been sitting there and was already cold.

We then waited inside for our avocado toast. Once it was ready, we took it outside to eat. Unfortunately, one of the eggs we added for an extra $2 was overcooked. The table outside hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests, and no one seemed to be keeping up with cleanliness. The avocado toast tasted fine but wasn’t anything special. The coffee, although flavorful, was cold by the time we drank it, and the croissant was far from fresh—even though we arrived in the morning.

To top it off, we were expected to clear our own dishes, despite a 15% tip being included in the bill.

Overall, this place isn’t great for breakfast. It’s more suited for grabbing a quick coffee. Thanks

Not only do I love the coffee, tea, and food menu, but I love the ambiance and staff as well. Creativity is in everything they do. Sustainability efforts can be seen all throughout the shop. The vibe in their cafe is perfect imo. Plenty of options for all dietary modifications as well- my wife and I are vegan and she is also gluten free. This is my coffee shop whenever I’m in downtown. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

GIRLLL do not go here??? the way they charged roughly a 15% gratuity fee like thank you for handing me the iced coffee I paid for. No OBVIOUS sign to see of gratuity even though they say they have a sign but even if it was obvious why is there to begin with cause the prices are already high. And the prices were so much like I get it if it was actually good but no.. the coffee was so bad. It’s good for people that think more expensive=better. Go to dunkin it’s 2 blocks away❤️

First time stopping here, I had the pumpkin butternut latte and it was delicious. My partner had the sweet corn latte and it was not sweet at all and very watery.

For its price, coffee is average at best and doesn't even taste good.
Service with automatic gratuity charge is absurd.
The atmosphere is...just okay.

I happen to live nearby and just made my first stop when my usual go-to was closed.

Employees are nice though. The owner seems like a grade a ______

i think there are some consistency issues here with their chai, which they market as kind of an in house specialty.

a few weeks ago i had their standard iced chai that’s always on the menu and it was truly wonderful! however today i got their summer special cardomom iced chai and it was SUPER watery and so light on flavor. i’ve noticed 3 or 4 other reviews saying the chai is watery so i think they should really take heed, because when they do it right it’s so good….but im not looking to gamble with my hard earned money so not sure if ill be back or not.

people seem to really be losing it over the autogratuity but honestly its posted everywhere and is a reasonable percentage IMO. so my rating is just based on chai inconsistency which they should resolve ASAP.

Used to live in the Amli building and thought I would check this spot out. Very shady and honestly scammy business model. I tried to get a normal latte but when the total came out to more than 7 dollars I asked for the receipt… they had charged an automatic 15% gratuity fee. I’ve never seen a coffee shop do this and honestly it’s disgraceful. I ended up paying for the coffee and expected it to be good. I know how to make a proper Italian style espresso and latte so I know what I’m talking about. Also was employed at a restaurant that served these drinks and made them frequently. One of the worst espresso drinks I’ve had in Chicago. Watery, flat, no flavor. It’s clear your baristas don’t even know how to brew espresso yet they are getting automatic tips? Ridiculous.

Also, Kate! I know you’re reading this and know you’re the owner and are gonna try to come up with something passive aggressive to counter my factual claims. Honey, you responding passive aggressively about how you’re trying to prevent customers from stiffing baristas when you live in a million dollar home and can’t pay your workers a living wage is actually so funny. Your coffee shop is such nonsense it has gone viral on the Chicago food subreddit and everyone knows about your shady games. It reminded me of my terrible experience here. Here’s a tip, pay your employees and livable wage and stop forcing others too ?
