New Grand Chinese Kitchen

I come here weekly for their smoothies. Strawberry, mango, pineapple, coconut, and mixed — they are all great! Fairly priced and large portions (the large smoothies are massive!) I’ve never tried the food though.

Yes, every single review about this restaurant is true dealing with the hard dry orange chicken and the dirty restaurant. First time, having lunch at this spot. I wanted some Wayan's bourbon chicken next door. But I decided to go to this restaurant because they sell smoothies. Well I made a mistake guys!! The food was horrible, the restaurant is nasty as hell. In the lobby they have this dirty fan. Stuff all behind the counters, not organized and look likes garbage. They are storing food under the counter. No lids on the food just opened!! I was sick not in my right mind when I decided to spend my money at this spot. I got some chicken noodle soup and it had lettuce in it omg. Black beautiful people it's time for this restaurant to close their doors for good. So I will be reaching out to Department of Public Health. Samantha Chapman needs to do a report about this restaurant on ABC news. 7/31/2025.

Drove 3 hours for the Singapore Noodles because i dont live in Chicago anymore...that tells you all you need to know! They are my favorite!

Friend was is just rice and soy sauce no green onion no bean sprouts no egg just whatever meat you ask for and dark rice. You don’t even get a drink with the specials and the portions are stingy. The only thing I like was the egg roll. So mad I paid 2$ for combination rice when most places only charge 1.50. And you don’t have to ask them to put egg onions and bean sprouts in the rice. Also higher prices than restaurants that give you a drink with the specials! Not going back. It’s a rip off.

Food was very nasty orderd shrimp egg foo young no onions no seasoning, gravy was horrible white gravy. Customer service bad she tried entering my debt card with a pin number that wasn't mine. Real shady people. Won't be going back

I don't know if the cook be tired or they just constantly rotated back and forth from cooks I walked in today and got the $10 special and the rice was nasty as hell not warm

I love this place in the mall one of the best Chinese places on the South side been going here over ten years the cashiers are always friendly take your orders fast the food is always fresh hot & delicious

My staff member wanted to treat us for lunch and she picked this establishment 4/25/25. She lives in the neighborhood has come to this place often, and loves the fried chicken. She ordered 2 small combination rice ( one spicy) and 2 eight piece wings. When we got the food, some staff members had begun eating. When I started eating it, the rice didn't taste right and the chicken was very hard ( so hard that if you continue bite into it, you may lose a tooth. This was very disappointing for me and the co-workers i was trying to treat for lunch. I couldn't take it back right away because I was at work. I called three times, got hung up on, and told the manager is not in, and we are super busy. After work i went up there. I was not expecting a full refund because we had eaten some. While giving me a partial refund, the lady began to say, I am taking money from her and I couldn't return to the restaurant that she would put my name down to make sure of that. I continue to explain to her that the food didn't taste right and the chicken was hard. When we patronize these places , given them are hard earned money, it should never be an issue where the manager doesn't want to make it right for the customer. I didn't come in with an attitude or disrespectful. I just expect good quality food for my hard earned money. I just hope more people speak up if there food is not cooked properly or is distasteful, therefore they can fix it or just close down

Order food on 4/7/25 this food was the worse, I remember back in the day the food was really good, so today I had a taste for it and boy I was really disappointed had Chicken Egg Foo and it was horrible the rice was dry and no chicken in the rice, do not waste your money.
