Overall 2 stars.
We ordered to-go and we're not given any forks, napkins, or sauce.
I ordered the BBQ flavor ribs. I was expecting a slightly sweet and saucy rib - these were not sweet at all, actually a little spicy, and not saucy either. They were cooked okay, a little over done.
The fries were nothing to brag about. Thin style, like what they have at Steak 'n Shake.
I would have liked to try the slaw that I ordered as well, but again, no forks were given and we are staying at a hotel so the forks and napkins would have been appreciated.
Overall, ehh. Kinda disappointed. Additionally, it took much longer (30+ mins) than we were originally told to get our food.
Got the buffalo chicken sandwich. Chicken was extremely dry and had very little sauce. Tater tots were okay. Beignets were the best part, only thing I'd describe as good.

Tuesday night, only a few tables and a few people at the bar and I sat waiting for someone to take my drink and food order for over 20 mins at another table. When I walked to leave the waitress/bartender just chatting away at the bar to like 4 people and didn't even look at me.

Food, overall, was fair. The collard greens, however, were magnificent! Caramel sauce on the beignets was nice.

I had a really good burger and fries after traveling into Chicago on a Monday night. I saw some of other people’s orders, and everything looked well made. Prices were great for downtown Chicago. I didn’t have any beer, but they had about 16-20 beers on tab, including local and well known varieties. They also had a full bar and THC offerings. Overall a great experience!

Ordered a steak salad from here and barely any meat for the price and the little meat that was there was SO fatty it was borderline inedible

Hit up New Line Tavern in the West Loop and loved the whole vintage train‑photo vibe in that old Beaux‑Arts powerhouse. Grabbed their fish tacos and truffle fries, plus a beer flight, spent about $45 before tip. Food was solid and staff friendly, though service lagged a bit when it got packed. Chill spot, definitely going back for happy hour.

Pretty trash place. Dead at 6 on a Saturday. They didn’t have two drinks we asked for. Bartender was confused about pretty much every question we had. Not even a charming dive. Just a lame place that clearly nobody wants to come to.

Food was absolutely fantastic all the way around. Service and vibe was good. My group was meeting at Ogilvie and restaurant was a short walk away.

I came here for a work-sponsored happy hour. There’s pretty much nothing I love more than eating and drinking on someone else’s dime and New Line Tavern was happy to oblige.
They’ve got a great selection of drinks, whether on tap or in a bottle. There’s also plenty of classic bar food staples which were pretty good.
It does get pretty crowded after work. Its proximity to the loop and trains out of Chicago means it’s very commuter friendly.
