I had a really good burger and fries after traveling into Chicago on a Monday night. I saw some of other people’s orders, and everything looked well made. Prices were great for downtown Chicago. I didn’t have any beer, but they had about 16-20 beers on tab, including local and well known varieties. They also had a full bar and THC offerings. Overall a great experience!
Hit up New Line Tavern in the West Loop and loved the whole vintage train‑photo vibe in that old Beaux‑Arts powerhouse. Grabbed their fish tacos and truffle fries, plus a beer flight, spent about $45 before tip. Food was solid and staff friendly, though service lagged a bit when it got packed. Chill spot, definitely going back for happy hour.
I came here for a work-sponsored happy hour. There’s pretty much nothing I love more than eating and drinking on someone else’s dime and New Line Tavern was happy to oblige.

They’ve got a great selection of drinks, whether on tap or in a bottle. There’s also plenty of classic bar food staples which were pretty good.

It does get pretty crowded after work. Its proximity to the loop and trains out of Chicago means it’s very commuter...
