I am one of the first customer of New Paradise and this place never disappoints. I always have to bring everyone I know to try the pistachio Gelato because this is the best gelato in Chicago by far. They import the pistachio cream from Italy and they make the gelato with it. Shout out to the owners Vito and John!

The pistachio gelato and pistachio cannoli are so insanely good. They bring the pistachio cream from Sicily, so it’s authentic. Jasmine was super helpful fulfilling our order. John the owner was so sweet and came out and talked to us and brought us free cakes to try. I want to come back and try the Sicilian pizza.

Fantastic neighborhood bakery (and more) with friendly staff (Jasmine explained the different offerings to a newby). First up -the cannoli were marvelous. The shells are filled at the time you order in either a regular or mini size in one of 2 flavors: plain or pistachio. The product is crisp, rich and delectable . I ordered a cafe macchiato served in a small cup in authentic Italian style with a small head of steamed milk. I enjoyed the coffee which was rich and mellow (no bitterness) in the adjoining gelato shop at one of the tables with a selection of the cookies and pastries. For pure decadence the sfogliatella (described as lobster tail pastry) - are flaky pastry filled with chocolate or cream. Delizioso. The pastry selection I brought home met with rave reviews. I'll be returning very soon.

As for the cake itself when we brought it out to sing happy birthday. Our daughter smiled with so much joy. We got a lot of compliments on how it looked but how it tasted was beyond our expectations. It was by far one of the best cakes we ever had. The cake was fluffy and moist, the strawberry filling was on point, and it had the perfect amount of buttercream. Some of our guests even took down the information on the bakery. Overall 10/10 experience.

New Paradise Bakery in Chicago has completely changed my opinion on cannolis—hands down, the best I’ve ever had! I was never the biggest fan of cannolis, but not anymore… these are fantastic! They were so good that I decided to order a cannoli cake, anticipating it would be just as delicious—and my intuition was spot on.
From the beautifully decorated exterior to the incredibly moist cake and that unbelievable cannoli cream, every bite was perfection. These guys truly know what they’re doing. A little piece of Italy has popped up on Milwaukee Ave, and I couldn’t be happier. Bravo!

Great ariancini! Good neighborhood spot to load up on sweets and savory items
The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a panettone for Christmas. Just a high level of customer service with an even higher quality product. So delicious.

Some of the best Italian cookies in Chicago (and Mileaukee) I've tried. Really great cannolis too.
I want to come back and try their savory goods and other baked goods soon.

Ordered the sette velli pistachio cake and it was great, everybody loved it. The staff is also very nice.
New Paradise is an absolute hidden gem. Every bite here is a delight, and I can’t help but rave about their savory offerings. The Arancini Carne is a standout: a perfectly crispy, golden ball filled with tender rice and rich, flavorful meat—utterly mouthwatering. The stuffed pizza puff is unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. The dough has a soft, buttery, almost donut-like texture with just a hint of sweetness. Inside, the gooey mozzarella and savory sauce create a pizza-dough-donut hybrid that’s pure heaven.
The Focaccia is another unexpected treasure—soft, pillowy, and bursting with buttery flavor. This is how focaccia should taste, unlike the dry, stiff versions you often find elsewhere. But what truly sets New Paradise apart is the cannoli. As someone who’s never been a fan of cannolis (they’re usually too sweet, soggy, or just not right), I was blown away by how fresh and perfectly balanced these are. Each cannoli is filled on the spot, keeping the shell crispy and the filling sweet but not overpowering. It’s the perfect bite.
And don’t even get me started on the Tiramisu and Pistachio Tarts. Both have won over even my mom, who’s usually very particular about her desserts.
What makes New Paradise even more special, though, is the heart behind it. The owner, John, pours so much care into everything he does—his food, his space, and especially his customers. In a world where so many businesses prioritize quantity over quality, it’s places like New Paradise that truly deserve our support. Thank you, John, for crafting authentic, delicious products that make our community better. I can't wait to return for more of your amazing creations!

This Sicilian bakery is truly authentic-- with its sister store in Palermo. We ordered arancini and Tiramisu for a holiday party and were not disappointed. The arancini was moist and delicious filled with meat and peas or ham and cheese. Both are amazing as was the Tiramisu cake beautifully constructed with a ribbon tied around it.
We also tried some cannoli that are made to order and loved the pistachio filling. So great.
Unfortunately the store was robbed on Christmas Eve morning and the owners were cleaning up as we picked up our order. Despite their challenges that morning we were greeted with warm holiday wishes.
We are so lucky to have found this place and will continue to visit it often.

By far the best cannoli I've ever had in the Chicago land area.
