Walked in and immediately felt at home. The atmosphere perfectly encapsulated the character of Chicago, and the owner Nilda was kind and treated us like family. Highly recommended, say hi to Frijolito if you go.

So long as “dive bar” is not an offensive term, Nilda’s is THE best dive bar of my life- hands down. Nilda herself is an absolute gem and her little chihuahua adds the little something extra to the experience.

Stumbled in here by chance and had a great time on a somewhat busy night. Cheap drinks, cold beer, and Nilda is an absolute angel. Her pup Frijolito is a lil cutie too. I hope Nilda is able to keep this place in business for years to come as they don’t make ‘em like this anymore!
