It's funny how the bad reviews highlight the same problems, yet Nine Bar continues to ignore them.
1) The black bouncer is unprofessional, rude & hostile.
2) The Asian female hostess with the glasses and colored hair has the worst attitude I have ever encountered at any establishment in the hospitality industry - and I've been to dozens of states, let alone countries. She is THE very reason someone shouldn't be in the industry! That hair isn't just dyed - it's a warning label for the attitude underneath! She is 100% the reason for the nail in the coffin & 1 ⭐ review.
3) The bartenders drink with patrons, and prepare beverages after wiping their faces and running their hands through their hair. They also lack social inhibition and share stories out loud while cursing in front of customers. Nobody cares to overhear what you do in your private life. How unprofessional can you be? Nine Bar-level unprofessional! 🤷🏽♀️
4) The whole entrance is a joke, they make it look so exclusive by having a bartender and bouncer go in and out, examining who they can admit. We are treated like numbered cattle rather than paying customers. The queue, and the whole experience felt like a combination of TSA & farm animal treatment.
🚨AVOID AT ALL COSTS‼️

The short male bartender was kind of rude and classless… Everyone else was chill and pleasant. The cocktails were not too sweet which I appreciate

Cool speakeasy spot in Chinatown with a vapor-wave aesthetic. The Paradise Lost drink was delish, complex, and unexpected—put me on to clarified coconut and ube! I’d love to go back to try some sake 🪩🍹🌆🪭
Often has a wait but great bar and vibes
Expensive and the waitress was so rude. Wow bad impression for me and my friends, we went the first time and this lady was terrible.

An air of mystery surrounds the entrance of this speakeasy in Chinatown. The bouncer was authoritative and friendly when we were confused about the entrance. Really great wings. Very good drinks, especially the classics. Great bartenders. 100% would become a regular if I didn't have a little kid.

Bouncer had us wait 15min to get in, but we were cool with it. Reason why is they keep the bar a certain vibe. Full but not packed, don’t have to yell to have conversation, etc. Bartenders, bouncer and host were all cool. Highly recommend.

Showed up an hour before close on Saturday night, only to be told the place was closed by a guy out front who was yapping on the phone with someone. I wasn't even sure if the guy worked there. I walked down the street and saw a handful of people walking out. That made no sense to me, so I tried walking in. The same guy that told me it was closed started getting aggressive with me. I asked him why a whole group just walked out if the bar is closed. He told me it's because they're leaving. I told him their hours are incorrect then. He told me that when I own a bar, then I can run the bar how I want to.
Wasted my time taking the subway over here for nothing. These people obviously don't value your time. They actually think they are entitled to wasting it.

This bar had an extremely racist bouncer. Never have I felt so disrespected in one night, and their attitude was terrible. Seemed like they were taking their anger out on all the customers. The bar should really consider finding someone who treats their customers with respect.

Extremely rude guy at the front door. Don't bother giving this place your money.
Cute spot, with good cocktails. Great service. I can’t remember my favorite drink on the menu but you should try them all.
