My husband and I had breakfast here since we were staying at the hotel and the weather was bad that morning. Our food was cooked well, but was very underwhelming for the cost. I paid the same amount at another restaurant the next morning for way more food, creativity and atmosphere.

If you have allergies, especially to nuts, avoid this place at any cost. Absolutely horrible experience.
I ordered a coffee and muffin, and specifically asked if the muffin had any nuts. I was told no and that the muffins were apple cinnamon. I asked again, just to verbally confirm the muffin was nut free. After a few bites, however, it became pretty clear that they did indeed have nuts, as I started having a reaction. When I told the person at the front of the restaurant about this, he seemed annoyed and asked if I wanted a refund. He did not seem to comprehend or care about nut allergies. Meanwhile, my entire trip has to be put on hold now to seek treatment, including likely needing to book another hotel stay.
Most expensive muffin I've ever ordered. Do not go here, especially if you have allergies. As a final note, the coffee is not good.

Felt very rushed having my breakfast. I had just finished and not even put the fork down when the gentleman took the plate away from me. Unfortunately the lady behind the counter where you pay is very rude and when asked for the receipt she crumbled it up then had to reprint a new one and threw it across the counter at me. Otherwise the remaining members of staff in the hotel were wonderful and couldn't do enough for their guests. Would avoid the NiX at all costs. Much nicer places to grab a breakfast/brunch and lunch where the staff are much more nicer to tourists and you can have a nice chat and not feel rushed ordering and eating your food

We had brunch at the Nix Restaurant and Andre was the best server I've ever come across! Even though we did not stay at the hotel, we were extremely impressed with the quality of the food at this restaurant. We stay downtown every year for a conference, so I may look at staying at this hotel next year!

We had several breakfasts here this past week, and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Very helpful and courteous staff, with plenty of attention to customer satisfaction. One morning seemed to run a bit slow for the kitchen staff, but our front-of-house help was proactive in apologizing to the customers for the delay. I greatly appreciated that detail. The food was outstanding. One morning I chose their eggs benedict with Canadian bacon, and two mornings we both ordered the yogurt parfait. I ordered toast both times, but never got it the first time (the morning the kitchen was running slow). It wasn't on the check when we got it, so I said nothing of it - no harm done. Overall, I was quite pleased with our dining experiences here and would definitely return!

We stopped for breakfast one morning after a concert in Chicago. We stayed at the Westin, but walked over here. Food was really good. Service was attentive. Restaurant was clean, bright, and had a good atmosphere inside. We will be back again next time we are in the area.
