Felt very rushed having my breakfast. I had just finished and not even put the fork down when the gentleman took the plate away from me. Unfortunately the lady behind the counter where you pay is very rude and when asked for the receipt she crumbled it up then had to reprint a new one and threw it across the counter at me.
Otherwise the remaining members of staff in the hotel were wonderful and couldn't do enough for their guests.
Would avoid the NiX at all costs. Much nicer places to grab a breakfast/brunch and lunch where the staff are much more nicer to tourists and you can have a nice chat and not feel rushed ordering and eating your food

We had brunch at the Nix Restaurant and Andre was the best server I've ever come across! Even though we did not stay at the hotel, we were extremely impressed with the quality of the food at this restaurant. We stay downtown every year for a conference, so I may look at staying at this hotel next year!

We had several breakfasts here this past week, and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Very helpful and courteous staff, with plenty of attention to customer satisfaction. One morning seemed to run a bit slow for the kitchen staff, but our front-of-house help was proactive in apologizing to the customers for the delay. I greatly appreciated that detail. The food was outstanding. One morning I chose their eggs benedict with Canadian bacon, and two mornings we both ordered the yogurt parfait. I ordered toast both times, but never got it the first time (the morning the kitchen was running slow). It wasn't on the check when we got it, so I said nothing of it - no harm done. Overall, I was quite pleased with our dining experiences here and would definitely return!

We stopped for breakfast one morning after a concert in Chicago. We stayed at the Westin, but walked over here. Food was really good. Service was attentive. Restaurant was clean, bright, and had a good atmosphere inside. We will be back again next time we are in the area.
