We were really excited to check out a new sushi place in our neighborhood, but honestly it was fine. We sat at the bar and ordered a few appetizers during happy hour. The miso soup was excellent! However, I think the bartender forgot about us for almost a half hour before we could order the rest of our meal. And we were one of 3 couples at the bar.

We tried chef’s omakase. The sushi is amazing, one of the best we have tried in Chicago. We had Chef assistant Alvaro taking care of us, who is brilliant and very accommodating. One thing you need to know is that this place does not offer a typical omakase experience you would expect in Japan or other omakase restaurants.
