Nonna's Pizza & Sandwiches

I went to this place every week for a year. They have recently changed the bread in the sandwich to a flavorless rock that completely ruins the food. Love the workers and the service people are great, but the food is suffering from this cheap bread change.

They have the BEST chocolate cake I've ever had. I order a slice (and sometimes 2) every week on door dash. 🥰 The cake is light, so chocolatey and I really like the hazelnut on top. I've still yet to try any of their sandwiches or pizza but if their chocolate cake says anything about their food....I can't imagine how good everything else is there too.

Good lord this place is expensive. But the food is just so excruciatingly good that I always cave. The butter parmesan sandwich and quattro fromaggio lasagna made me see visions of the Amalfi coast. Highly recommend.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Nonna’s. Maybe since 2021. They use to have my favorite Italian sandwich, the “Pacino”. Between the ingredients and the bread it was perfect. I stopped in this past Friday afternoon and picked up my order, and I have to say it’s just ok now. The bread they use now is different. The bread was dry and overall the sandwich was really salty. Not the soft chewy bread they use to use, still an ok sandwich, and people should try for themselves. But that’s what it is now, just ok. I only ate half since I was starving and I gave the other half away.

The food and service are consistently phenomenal. The yellowfin tuna is a personal favorite, always fresh and perfectly prepared. The staff is warm and welcoming. Definitely a must try if you are in the area.

Chicken parm was good, bread was a freshly toasted sesame seed roll. Huge sandwich. Will try meatball next time. No indoor seating. Small outdoor seating available with 2-top tables only.

Stop reading this review and just go. They have some of the best sandwiches of all time. They're kinda pricey, but not too bad considering the area and how dang good the sandwiches are. Also, my sandwich was loaded, so it felt like a better value.

Incredible sandwich’s. The line is worth the wait. Limited seating but it turns over. Bread is perfect to provide a firm bite but not tear up your mouth….you sandwich guys know what I’m saying.

Incredible sandwiches.

HOWEVER, I ordered a “What The” on 8/13/25 and they changed the bread. Some colleagues also ordered sandwiches and noticed the change as well. I’ve attached pictures. The bread is noticeably smaller, less crusty on the outside, and doughy/denser on the inside. When I called to ask if this is temporary or a long term change, they told me the bread is the same.

I would love to know if this is just a bad batch and the person who I spoke to did not know or if there is a change to the bread. Thanks!

My husband and I heard that their chicken Parm sandwich was so good… And they were right! 10 out of 10 recommend coming here for a darn good sandwich. The sandwich was huge that we could barely finish them! So worth it
