I used to love going to this place 5 years ago. It seems like after 2020 the quality of the food has dropped. I ordered the drunken noodles and they were soggy and chopped up. It certainly didn't look very appetizing. I do hope they can find to way to get reinspired to make the food like they did before.

I'm a UChicago student and a regular here. As an Asian, I find the food reasonably authentic and well-priced, which is why I keep coming back.

However, I had a concerning experience today. There was a long queue with only one cashier working. When a second cashier opened up, he called white ladies from the back of the line to be served first, while I and others who had been waiting in the middle of the queue continued to wait another 3-5 minutes. When I politely pointed out that people should be served in order, the cashier laughed, shook his head, and refused to acknowledge the issue.

I hesitate to definitively call this racial discrimination without more evidence, but the pattern—specifically calling white customers from the back while making Asian customers wait—was troubling enough that it needs to be mentioned. The manager did apologize, which I appreciated, yet the cashier did not. The food is genuinely good, which is why I'm giving 5 stars for the food and 3 stars overall rather than lower, but I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures all customers are treated with equal respect regardless of their background.

Hard to imagine a restaurant could be more disorganized than this one

Went to Noodles today, and while the food was really good, the ordering system needs work. The QR code requires entering your full card info and address, no Apple Pay or saved payment options, which slows things down. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed, and a few items were missing from our order that we had to ask for more than once. He also just announced dishes instead of verifying specific orders, so someone from my table and I accidentally ate each other’s meals before realizing!

That said, the Pad Thai was delicious with a healthy portion (enough for leftovers), and the miso soup was excellent. Great food, but the service process could use some fine-tuning.

every single time i order the chicken pad thai on uber eats, they ALWAYS give me the wrong sauce. they used to give a sweet, oily type of sauce which was the whole point of me ordering the pad thai. very annoying

Honestly great prices and speedy service. Probably cheapest dishes in the area. But regarding the portion sizes, they do give sizes randomly, so you could order three of the same things and one will be double the size of the other. Personally, I don't mind this, and I think there's a nice variety of options, but keep it in mind.
