We ordered two mixed drinks, and a variety of maki. The Chicago Crunchy Crazy roll was our favorite! The spice level on the spicy salmon maki roll was actually spicy which was refreshing. The matcha creme brulee was also one we'll be back for! The drinks were amazing and not why we went so a very pleasant surprise! Pat served us and I think was also our bartender (we came soon after they opened so pretty empty). She let us take our time so we never felt rushed and she was very attentive. Good local business and we'll be back!

The Mexican Maki was excellent with Escolar, Jalepeno and Cilantro. The other rolls were average and small. They have a 50% off Maki roll special unfortunately the rolls are half the size so it’s not really a deal in my opinion. It’s a beginner level sushi place.

Wow! Hold up - This place feels like a hidden gem, maybe because it’s right next to the train station so it’s often overlooked. My husband and I came in around 8:30 (an hour before closing), and the staff treated us with such kindness, never rushing us, even when we stayed past closing. That’s rare in Chicago.
The food was delicious, fairly priced, and the atmosphere was so romantic, it would be perfect for a date night (or a spontaneous one like ours). We didn’t realize how beautiful it was inside!
A fun detail: the soy sauce is made in-house, and even the dishes were handpicked in Japan by the owner. Such a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel special.

The food was great! I wish the spicy tuna rolls were a little bit more spicy or came with a little spicy mayo on the inside. It was a little dry! But the rolls were fresh and delicious. Great prices too.

They have a DJ that plays a perfect mix of music with an excellent volume! You can easily enjoy conversation while enjoying music. Food is outstanding! Spicy fire is a delicious apply! Lots of great maki rolls to pick from!

Super polite service, beautiful and comfortable seating, classical music, made for such a relaxing meal. I had the spicy salmon and spicy tuna, and really loved the takoyaki. Affordable too!
