The food was great! I wish the spicy tuna rolls were a little bit more spicy or came with a little spicy mayo on the inside. It was a little dry! But the rolls were fresh and delicious. Great prices too.

They have a DJ that plays a perfect mix of music with an excellent volume! You can easily enjoy conversation while enjoying music. Food is outstanding! Spicy fire is a delicious apply! Lots of great maki rolls to pick from!

Relaxing wonderful meal experience right off the Diversey train and bus stop. Great sake selection as well! Super polite service, beautiful and comfortable seating, classical music, made for such a relaxing meal. I had the spicy salmon and spicy tuna, and really loved the takoyaki. Affordable too! Would come back for a date lunch or night, great vibes.

Edit : Come back again for over a year since we moved out from the neighborhood Never disappointed, friendly service, better ambience they added more details about lighting and hanging plants on the lights. Super cute decor and more cozy vibes. I’m glad that they didn’t change the menu much but they have full bar service now! Cockage fee is for byob but that is fair for me cuz we still save $$ and be able to order more sushi ! Spicy udon stir fried is our go-to! Well done Nori!
Cute little sushi restaurant in Lakeview!!! My favorite are Sakura maki and Spicy octopus maki. My husband always gets Sushi entree. We love tuna Tatar appetizer and spicy miso. They used to be BYOB but if you bring your own they only charge for $5! And open it for you with real wine glasses not tacky wine glasses from BYOB places. FYI they do offer Japanese beer on the tap:) but too bad that half off Monday no longer exist but who know?? After they fully back open for dine in again !?!?

Was ordering to go. The cashier, who was very friendly was in the middle of taking my order. The ring cam suddenly started going off saying "get out, get out" then the phone rings. Cashier speaks to the person for a few minutes. Suddenly she's saying they are closed. Even though they open at 4pm and I came in at 410, and the door is unlocked. I walk back in and ask why she kicked me out even though they're sign says open. She says the chefs not there, even though I clearly see him making rolls. I believe I was kicked out because of how I look....if you catch my drift. tread carefully with this place. Edit in response to the owner: I never entered the cashier area! I was looking at the menu and ordering my food TO GO! Wow, in complete shock right now. For people that can't read between the lines, I am black and pretty sure the owner was suspicious of me for that reason. I was looking at the menu and standing IN FRONT of the cashier area to order my food! There was nothing to protect the business from because I was only trying to order sushi! 2nd Edit: screenshoted the owners response and going to repost it here in case they try and delete or edit: Nori Sushi Chicago (Owner) 45 minutes ago "We welcome every customer. I came in, in my work shirt, with the name of the business clear as day, stood in front of the cash register looking at the menu,. All I was doing was trying to order food. Its 2024, I cant believe this is still happening. That anyone could make assumptions on another person or treat another person the way I was, just based on the color of their skin or the way they look. I really hope every single person that works there and anyone considering supporting this business sees this. I honestly don't know how to feel right now. This was not right.

The sushi here tastes divine, especially if you get anything from signature or chef specials. Very flavorful with amazing texture and feel, the chef here is very skillful. Great ambiance, staff is especially nice and make sure you have a great time. I had miso soup, red nori ( wow so delicious), and salmon maki. 5/5
