I ate at this café for the first time yesterday, and was pleased overall. The space was clean, the menu was clear with a good variety of options, and the food tasted fine. The service was fast, even considering the fact that there were only two patrons there. I got the Chicago chili dog (with chips and a pickle) and a cup of coffee. The prices were on the high side, and the hot dog and chili could have been served a bit hotter, but overall a lunch that was rather good. Located...
This cafe is directly accessible via the Chicago History Museum. It is strickly a quick eats spot for lunch or a snack after visiting this interesting museum. Being from another state, I was happy to find Chicago style hot dogs here. They also have homemade potato chips.
Love this hidden gem! We live in the neighborhood and eat here often, breakfast and lunch. Great food, great value, friendly staff. Salads, sandwiches made to order. (Better than walking over to Wells St, those places are overpriced.) Hi to Monica and Koz.
