The best Vietnamese food in Chicago. I always bring my friends who come into town here and it never disappoints

Amazing spot, surprised at the relatively low rating. Everything I've had here has been excellent, especially the fermented fish hot pot, the lemongrass soup, and all of the snails.

This is our favorite place to get a huge bowl of pho. Their other menu items are all stellar, especially the bbq pork skewers. I took my pho broth home and made the most delicious ramen the next day lol.

Our food took forever to arrive, and the service was super slow. When the pho finally came, we were bummed to find a piece of plastic in the bowl. The staff didn’t seem too worried about it, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. Given how poorly they took care of us and how slow they were, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. We waited an unusually long time for our food, which was frustrating enough, but when my pho finally arrived, it had a plastic bag of noodles still floating in the bowl. It was so unappetizing and showed a real lack of attention to detail. The staff didn’t seem very attentive or concerned about the slow service, and there was no apology for the delay or the mishap with my dish. Given the poor service and the lack of care in food preparation, I would not recommend this place and definitely won’t be coming back.

Went with a couple friends and we waited forever for our order to be taken and for our food to come out. As we were waiting, we saw several tables that were seated after us receive their drinks and food. We had to wave a waiter over to get our orders taken and to see if our pho was ever coming. We waited around 45 minutes before we got our pho. When we got our pho, a friend had pulled out a long piece of the top of a plastic bag from her bowl after mixing the noodles. The waiter didn’t seem fazed or apologetic at all and took the bowl before we could get a picture of it. Just go to Viet town for pho.

The service was slow and inattentive. It took a long time for our orders to be taken and an even longer time for our food to arrive. We ended up ordering pho with FRESH noodles that had an additional cost, only to find plastic (from the noodle bag) in the bowl. Given the poor service and plastic found in the food, I don't recommend dining here.

Come here if you want to be ignored by staff, wait over half an hour for your food and find BIG STRANDS OF PLASTIC IN YOUR PHO. I even paid extra for “fresh noodles” I didn’t know that it would include the top half of a plastic bag ?. I wish I could have taken a photo of it but the bowl got snagged away the moment I showed it to the waiter.

We came here after seeing a video on Instagram. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of seating and nice decor. Great ambience.

We debated over the menu for a while and ended up getting four things.

The best thing we got was the pho! We got the rare beef and brisket with fresh noodles ($1.50 extra). It was really good -- the noodles were wide and soft, the broth was warm and comforting, and the rare beef rounds made for a perfect bite. It tasted rich without being heavy at all. I wasn't a fan of the brisket as it was a lot of tendon and not much meat. I would get the pho again. It was definitely the best thing we tried

We tried the crispy egg rolls which i thought were pretty basic, nothing special. We also got the crispy sticky rice with seafood. I'm a sucker for sticky rice and seafood so I was excited (expecting more of a Taiwanese sticky rice), but then was surprised to see it looked like a big arancini. The rice itself seemed a bit overcooked, so it was not the sticky rice I had hoped for (kinda gloopy), and the seafood filings were fine but nothing special. I wouldn't get this again.

We also got the garlic butter sea snails upon our waiter's recommendation. I thought these were pretty good. The sea snails had an interesting texture -- a bit more rubbery in the thick part, and in the softer part that was deeper in the shell, it was less rubbery and more soft. I thought this was pretty good but I would still prefer some good shrimp over sea snails, alas. I'm glad I tried it though!

I also tried the green kumquat iced tea which I wasn't a fan of. It was overly sweet and tasted more like sugar water than anything. I wouldn't get this again.

Overall I had a nice experience here. The restaurant is very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, and the pho was worth getting again. Nothing else I tried was particularly memorable though, so realistically I probably wouldn't come here again.

Noodles were mostly broth, very little noodles ,the price was unreasonable. i payed 20 dollars for the seafood, which only had 5 pieces that had very little meat and the pho wasn’t filling at all. Oh my god, I spent 81 dollars and I ‘m still hungry. Our server was inattentive and waited until we finished to take out our plates.
