The website (and replies to many reviews) say 21+ after 6pm. I am 23, but walked in with my two 20 year old friends (who do not drink anyways for religious reasons) at 2pm. Immediately when we walked in, an employee approached us asking for IDs. I’ve never been carded at a brewery before ordering, but I happily took out my ID and explained my friends would not be drinking & would be sitting outside. The employee rudely stated everyone must be 21 (again, never been to a brewery where this is the case, and the website says 21+ AFTER 6pm). I’ve also never felt so unwelcome at a brewery. We drove here all the way from Connecticut, and I was very excited to check this place out! We were inside for less than 30 seconds before we turned around and left.
Great brewery. Large selection with a great variety of beers. Off Color classics like Apex Predator and great new additions. Awesome vending machine with non-food oddities like 1989 Topps baseball card. Wonderful space with indoor and outdoor seating.
Wish they had darker beer but the table space and vibe was so nice!
Always a great stop for some amazing beverages. Staff members are excellent, knowledgeable, and kind. Beers are creative and delicious, and it's so fun to see and taste their newest creations!
I love this place because of their saisons. Visited for the first time. A very enjoyable experience!
Good selection of various beer styles, mostly wild fermented. Indoors is a little dark, but the patio space is lovely when the weather is nice.
Great social place for beer drinkers. I had the pistachio, was delicious ?
When I have Off Color originally off the shelf I was not a fan. Not that it wasnt quality, just wasnt my thing, sours were a bit sharp and a little to acedic for me. But then I made a trip to the Mousetrap and was immediately converted. The spurs at the brewery are velvety and bold. The sour hits in the right place, not overly sweet but still some residual sweetness. But what I like most is the l like the most is that after the initial sour flavor their is a residual flavor of the grain that stays on the palette, not for everyone but definitely my style! Great work on the beers, definitely a standard now.
Amazing brewery with different types of beer. Love the outside area. You can bring food and enjoy their beer. Great staff and atmosphere.
Excellent selection of beers right on the Chicago River! Terrific brewery!

Mousetrap / Off Color Brewing is undoubtedly one of the best places for a happy hour gathering in town! Their top-quality beer selections are second to none, offering a wide variety of unique and flavorful brews that cater to every palate. The highlight, however, is their signature Manhattan cocktail, which is hands down one of the best I've ever had.
The bartenders at Mousetrap go above and beyond in providing excellent service. Their knowledge, friendliness, and attention to detail create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more. I can't recommend this place enough – it's a 10++ experience all around!
