Thanksgiving price fixed menu. The food was good but overpriced. The green bean casserole was the best part of the menu but still only deserve 4 stars. The desert was pumpkin mousse pie only it wasn't mousse. It needs work. The turkey was moist. The stuffing was immediate. The mashed potatoes and cranberry dressing were good.

Great food. I had the meatball and fries. Their special aioli is great. Great drink menu. Service was great. Just enough attention without being neglectful or annoying cause they were there too much.

The food sounded fancy and tasted SO good! Our server, Andrew, came up with the most delicious drinks! Superb service! We’ll be back!!

Very busy restaurant with casual fare and lots of beers..The hamburger was delicious and dessert was heavenly. Service was excellent!

The food, drinks (especially whiskey list) and staff make you feel like you are in your favorite neighborhood haunt, just with a more adventuresome menu. Brunch, lunch or supper, it's hearty fare, and there are a few vegetarian options too. Definitely worth a trip out of your way for a visit. Noisy at peak hours but that's true at most places. The Out Side Bar is a great hangout too. I can't wait to come back.

On a recent visit to Chicago to see a play at the Steppenwolf Theatre I opted to stay at L&E and made a dinner reservation for before the show. Best decision I've made this year! The room was comfy & the bar/restaurant was exceptional. Dinner was delicious, the hospitality and vibe were wonderful. The only downside is that Logan Park appears to like to sleep in, I had no luck trying to find a place nearby for coffee before 8am.

We came here for a late breakfast/early lunch and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered (home smoked lox on potato pancake, burrata with apple and spiced nuts, breakfast burrito) - everything was extremely flavorful and just great. So were the drinks and the service - I would very much recommend this place and can't wait to come back.

Really had a nice brunch here on a Monday! Brunch/Lunch 7 days a week. Had a great time, loads of outside and indoor dining. Excellent food and smooth service. Would love to give dinner a try here.

Amazing! Should I add something more? Now I'm like a screaming girl who begs you to come here, try the food and finally join my propagandist clan which attracts new foodies (no, I don't work for Longman XD). Precaution: you might like to dilute the review with a drop of criticism, but not this time - everything is fine, including sanitizers, decent staff etc. etc. Food: the best of the best! I've tried duck leg confit with maple braised white beans, charred orange, bacon fat breadcrumbs and thyme. The dish reminds me of the French cooking style. This is really good cold weather food!

You know that things are getting better in this dreadful COVID era when restaurants announce they are opening for limited indoor and patio dining. The no mask, no entry policy remains in place. But it's business as usual at Longman & Eagle, one of Chicago's finest eateries. Established in 2010, it is located at 2657 North Kedzie Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood, between Diversey and Logan Boulevard. Oh, you still can take advantage of takeout and delivery. But, hey, isn't it a great feeling to be able to eat out again? Open from 5 to 10 Tuesday through Saturday, Longman & Eagle offers a splendid menu of unique and trendy and delicious items. My wife and I started with house stuffed sourdough pretzels with Merkt's cheddar and sea salt, hand-cut French fries, warm smoked trout dip with brie, herbs, lemon and seeded crackers and kale and romaine Caesar salad with cabbage, radish, parmesan, crispy chickpeas and Tahini dressing. For a main course, my wife chose smoked pastrami-style salmon Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, pickles and house dressing on griddled rye bread. I opted for a Slagel Farm beef double Smashburger with white American cheese, pickles, caramelized onions and Dijonnaise. Next time I'lll try the Wild Boar Sloppy Joe with aged cheddar, pickled jalapeno and crispy onions on sourdough bread. Or the fried chicken sandwich with white American cheese, cabbage, pickles and hot mayo. Wash it all down with Sprecher root beer. Longman & Eagle has a big-time reputation and it's as good as advertised.
