Doug and his team make you feel like family the moment you walk in. The smell of the smoker alone is enough to pull you in — and the brisket? Easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere.
Whether I’m grabbing lunch between client calls or recommending a local spot to someone buying in the area, OffSet is always at the top of my list. Great food, great people, and an authentic West Town vibe. Highly recommend!

My husband and I tried Offset BBQ for the first time, and overall, we really enjoyed it! We ordered the “Meet the Meats” plate, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and smoky, and everything was well-seasoned. The only small downside for me was that I love my food piping hot it was warm, but I prefer it hotter.
The drinks were a highlight! I had the mango margarita, and it was sweet, smooth, and so refreshing. I also tried the strawberry lemonade, and it was just as delicious perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. And I have to give a special shoutout to the cornbread moist, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve had.
The overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was friendly. We’ll definitely be going back!

Their bbq is legit. It has a deep smoky flavor, absolutely delicious. Their brisket is out of this world. Bark is amazing and the point cuts melt like butter. If anybody can make brisket that good, you can have confidence in anything else on their menu. Great sauce selection as well, the Chicago white sauce is next level!

Came here for dinner before a comedy show and it was awesome! I ordered the half rack of St.Louis style ribs with the elote as my side and the ribs were fall off the bone, the coleslaw it came with was delicious and the elote was incredible! Definitely would come back again 10/10

This is my second time here first time I came here. I loved it, but the second time the food was so dry and the fries were so oily. Couldn’t really finish it. But I was so excited to eat here, but then the food just came out so dry and bland unlike the first time I ate there. For me and my girlfriend it felt like 60 bucks was wasted.

As serious BBQ connoisseurs (my dad and I have traveled far and wide in search of the best), we don’t hand out glowing reviews lightly — but Offset BBQ absolutely earned this one.
The ribs were nothing short of phenomenal — tender, juicy, and finished with a perfect glaze that hit the sweet and savory balance just right. Brisket? A+ all the way. Juicy, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It’s the kind of brisket you measure all others against.
One of the biggest standouts was the smoked chicken breast, which was finished with a quick dip in the fryer before serving — absolutely incredible. But somehow, the pulled chicken may have topped it — it had a unique finish that elevated the flavor beyond anything we expected.
And don’t skip the brisket chili. It’s a bold, hearty blend of chili and smoked brisket, with just the right kick of jalapeño to keep it interesting without overwhelming the dish.
Generous portion sizes and top-notch service rounded out the experience.

We loved our meal at Offset BBQ! A perfect lunch stop while spending the day walking The 606. The food, all made from scratch, was sensational. I had the pulled pork sandwich and cornbread on the side. My wife had the brisket BLT with fries. We sampled the different barbecue sauces, which ranged widely in flavor, and they were all terrific. I loved that photos of legendary guitarists grace the walls, and we sat beneath Chicago icon Buddy Guy. Best of all, the service was perfect. Couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend this barbecue joint to everyone in the city!
