I stopped by this so-called famous pub on September 12, expecting at least basic service. Instead, I waited a solid 10 minutes at the bar while the female bartenders ignored me completely. They eagerly attended to the male customers who walked in after me, flirting and chatting away as if I wasn’t even there. It was baffling and frustrating, apparently my presence as a thirsty woman didn’t merit any attention. After walking under the blazing sun, all I wanted was a simple beer, yet I was treated like an afterthought. If I hadn’t been parched, I would have walked out immediately. On the other hand, the beer was good and the place nice.
Nice place to go! Stopped in and O’Neil and Reggie both stopped by my table to say hi. Friendly owners and good pizza.

O'Neil's on Wells is a classic Loop spot. I swung by on a Thursday night, grabbed a BBQ Bacon Burger and a pint of Guinness—ran me about $25. Burger was juicy, fries were crispy, and the Guinness was poured just right. The place has that old-school Chicago bar vibe, and the staff made me feel right at home. Perfect for a laid-back night with good food and drinks.

I visited for the first time last week. Good dive bar, good drinks and the bartenders and staff were nice and pleasant! It was a good atmosphere. I'd recommend it!
