I love the eggrolls they're the orginal size that chinese restaurants used to sell. And they're so delicious

The best egg rolls in the city. Legendary. This may come as a surprise given the name of the restaurant, but the orange chicken is also out of this world.
I went a while back with my family, the portions are extremely large, they allow BYOB, and they are extremely good with service. The orange chicken is actually good orange chicken unlike most, and the food is over all really delicious. I also enjoy the Vietnamese iced coffee a lot.

Our go-to Chinese! The vegetable egg rolls are huge, stuffed with veggies and that classic flavor. Tried the fried rice with egg and added tofu and it was delicious.

I hate to say it but my dish was quite bad. I ordered the vegetable lo mein and it was unlike any I have ever had before. The vegetables were near raw and the noodles themselves had no sauce nor seasoning.
The woman who served my friend and I though was very sweet and fairly professional. The lo mein was really bad though.
Egg rolls were alright.

Have not ordered in a while. The food is good there. The lady in front was very nice and polite. I got the kung pow Chicken. It was good, meat is tender but the sauce was a little bland.

Me and my mom and my daughter went there because I heard so much good things about it and it was very disappointing. We order egg rolls and they were salty hardly any shrimps also my daughter ordered chicken teriyaki in a stick they brought her toasted chicken in a stick with no flavor I’m sorry but my experience was horrible and the waitress wasn’t friendly she had an attitude like she hate it her job. I will never go there again .
First time getting take out, very bland food and chewy meat, expensive, will not be back

I visited after reading online that this is one of the oldest restaurants in Chicago. I found the food decent; for the price I'd say it was even quite good. I had the general tso and kung pao chicken and liked that they were not as cloying as some other Chinese American restaurants make these dishes. I'd definitely get takeout if I lived nearby, and the idea of people enjoying the same ok Chinese American food nearly one hundred years ago makes me feel like a part of the city's history.

Orange garden has long been one of my most favorite places for their burrito size egg rolls which are very delicious with that vintage Chicago style peanut butter/ five spice flavor that you can only get in here. All the other dishes I've had are slightly above average, not amazing . I honestly could eat two or three orders of egg rolls and call it a night! It's an old school Americanized Cantonese restaurant, with Chinese zodiac paper placemats in that vintage 1970s Chinese red & gold deco. The service is very attentive and friendly.

We ordered this for dinner Saturday and was very basic. Not terrible but not good enough to order again honestly. The eggrolls are $3.25 each which is so much higher than average and 2/6 were still raw/ doughy from the inside. The orange chicken was alright and was very brightly red colored. The Kung pao chicken was better but also very red and brightly colored, very odd. The mongolion beef was that cheap chewy beef texture and it had so many peppers and onion that it tasted more like steak fajitas than Chinese food. For being open this long i was very surprised by the mediocre food.
