I love this place for my go to coffee! The staff make the experience worth it even more!
Overpriced, wasn't tasty, indifferent staff
disappointed :/
Very good food would recommend
Wonderful experience!
The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We had a great time with our friends and truly enjoyed every moment. A perfect place to relax, share good conversation, and enjoy amazing flavors. Highly recommended!
Oromo Cafe in Bucktown is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with beautiful decor that makes it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with a friend. Their coffee is truly delicious. The specialty drinks, especially anything with house-made nut milks, are a must-try.
What really makes Oromo stand out, though, is the warmth of the people. Leyla, the owner, is incredibly sweet and kind. She brings a personal touch to the cafe. It’s clear she takes pride in creating a space that not only serves amazing coffee but also fosters a sense of community. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
Had to have a Turkish Coffee and did not disappoint. If you haven’t had a Turkish coffee, it’s quite an interesting experience. It’s brewed in a pot of sand, including some Turkish Delight, interesting to see. It’s located underneath the Blue Line Western and Milwaukee stop. They serve all sorts of breakfast items, fresh pastries and lunch sandwiches, all looked good as I sat here.
I like how it’s culture conscious coffee and was excited when I saw house made nut milk, organic, etc but our lattes tasted so bad to us it felt like we were forcing ourselves to drink it and we couldn’t even finish it - we got the hazelnut horchata and maple maca… which is unfortunate because the milk and coffee seemed really creamy and good but the flavors added were honestly just lacking and terrible + we got a spinach feta pastry and it was pretty bland ~ might possibly come back to try a normal latte with a syrup of choice but I don’t know if I can get over how bad today’s was, for $25, very disappointing and not what we expected
update: got a caramel oatmilk latte… it was definitely better + service was good … still tho, will not be back tbh and I do NOT recommend a visit

Great food and drink options. The place itself is a bit chilly in the winter and they could be friendlier.

This quaint coffee shop is wonderful, and it has the tastiest baklava I have had tasted yet in the Chicago area. Truly, it is incredible. I highly recommend coming here!!
I also got a golden chai latte and it was the most perfectly spiced chai latte I have tasted here as well. Honestly a wonderful experience!

Way overpriced for underseasoned and uninspired food. Our lattes were not to our tastes as they were rather bougie while lacking the pizzaz that makes those artesian drinks worth the costs.

Oromo is one of my favorite local spots. They offer something like five kinds of homemade nutmilk (so decadent!), and their baked goods are out of control. They even make their own chocolate for the mocha coffee drinks with coconut sugar. My only complaint is they don't sell the chocolate by the jar. (I would buy so many jars!) The people at this location are especially kind and friendly. Get in here!

Cute coffee shop under the train. It was quiet and nice to work from. The coffee was strong. Overall I would come back

I went here on a whim when my Sister was in town. We are both gf/df due to issues we have. Never in my entire life have I loved everything I’ve tried here. The gluten free/dairy free selection is unreal. I love the avocado toast and gf brownie the best.I ordered delivery this time and got an almond milk cappuccino with rose in it. I rarely finish all my coffee. My partner was shocked I drank it so fast and all of it. The coffee…like what crack are you putting in your coffee? We ordered beans to go via delivery app and MY GAWD! One of the best we’ve ever had and my partner is a beyond particular about his coffee. If I won the lottery I would honestly invest in this place making it available to the masses. You guys are doing it all right. Every coffeehouse should take note.
