The owner is soo sweet, I would always go to buy the vegan brownies so much that she gave me a free one one time. The BEST coffee and healthy sweets in Chicago.

Delicious gluten free treats! I’m not a coffee girlie but I love a good pastry. I honestly don’t remember what the things I got were called, but I sure did scarf those down pretty quickly. I went on the way to the airport. Would definitely go back if I return to Chicago!

I just went in this Cafe for the first time anticipating a chai latte what I usually get, and instantly saw a drink called Golden Chai Latte. The barista was kind enough to explain to me what it consists of, and even gave me a little of what was left over in a tiny cup instead of tossing it away. I couldn’t help but express my gratitude for both young ladies that were there, barista and the one at the register which is also helping barista. Shout out to both of you, and thank you so much for your exceptional hard work making everyone’s day that walks in even if it’s with just a cup of coffee. Y’all rock!!

This is not on their menu but I’m making a review because it needs to be!! probably one of the best matchas I’ve ever had and it was solely because I couldn’t decide between an horchata espresso drink or a matcha so I asked if I could just get the horchata milk with matcha added and it was gone in less than 5 minutes. The drink next to it was the same order but including the espresso shot as well!

Great experience. First time in the other day and got two gluten free sandwiches. I have an allergy (celiac) and they made me feel comfortable dining in. I did not get a reaction from the food. I will note, the gf bread is super small, and they did give a warning and accommodated the second time really well. It’s $2 extra. My boyfriend’s caprese sandwich was huge. I normally have to get two things because it’s so small.
Best caprese sandwich I’ve ever had, and the green bagel was delicious! Will be coming back for sure.

Very good food would recommend
Wonderful experience!
The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We had a great time with our friends and truly enjoyed every moment. A perfect place to relax, share good conversation, and enjoy amazing flavors. Highly recommended!
Oromo Cafe in Bucktown is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with beautiful decor that makes it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with a friend. Their coffee is truly delicious. The specialty drinks, especially anything with house-made nut milks, are a must-try.
What really makes Oromo stand out, though, is the warmth of the people. Leyla, the owner, is incredibly sweet and kind. She brings a personal touch to the cafe. It’s clear she takes pride in creating a space that not only serves amazing coffee but also fosters a sense of community. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
