So bummed they’re still not open as of Weds January 13th... very long holiday break this year. Well deserved but am getting antsy to have them opened again so I can get my fix!

Over easy is a really good place for breakfast, brunch or sides. The pancakes are a huge favourite. The café and the people will surely bring a smile on your face.

Over Easy is our tried and true spot for brunch. We live a block away & from the time we order on their website to the time we pick up our order, it's never taken more than 15 minutes. They have lovely weekend specials & have stayed open to do takeout during COVID. So happy to have them in our neighborhood! Great quality & unique dishes.

Hands down the best breakfast place in the city of Chicago. They remembered me on my second visit and even after my family moved away a couple years ago they remembered us when we came back into town. So worth the wait and please please order their carry out so they can continue to stay open during this pandemic.

I know Sassy eggs are the specialty of the house at Over Easy Cafe in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood. And, from all indications and reviews, Sassy eggs, Nueva Mexicana omelet and El Gordito's corn cakes could be the most popular items on the menu. But my wife and I are partial to Cajun or spicy cooking and Sassy eggs, with pork chorizo, jalapeno, red pepper and potato hash topped with two scrambled eggs, cheddar, ancho ketchup, sour cream and guacamole is too hot-hot for us. But Over Easy Cafe, located at 4943 North Damen, at Argyle, near Winnemac Park, offers other specialities without jalapeno, salsa and red pepper. Owners Jon Cignarale and Gwyneth Nordine cater to those customers with Easy eggs, two scrambled eggs served with red potato hash and toast; Blueberry Crunch Pancakes filled with blueberries and home-made granola served with cinnamon butter and powdered sugar; Candy Apple French Toast, brioche French Toast layered with cinnamon pastry cream and fresh Granny Smith apples bits topped with warm salted caramel and served with candied cashews and powdered sugar; and Banana Spiked French Toast, banana French Toast layered with vanilla pastry cream and sliced bananas, topped with rum-caramel sauce, candied pecans and powdered sugar with pork sausage links. Over Easy Cafe, established in 2006, is open from 7 to noon Tuesday through Friday and 7 to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

A top place for delicious american food. There was fast, efficient, and courteous service. It has a nice interior. Atmosphere is similar to a place in Columbus I loved.

Service is great and it's a cute cafe! Although it's a bit small and not particularly cheap, the food is great and you definitely get what you pay for!

As my Girlfriend and I were in Chicago this past weekend, we woke up one morning and wanted to have breakfast some place different. We wanted something not touristy and somewhat off the beaten track. My Girlfriend found this hidden local gem via google. My recommendation is to try this location at least once. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent polite service, food was better than expected. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, rice, beans, and skirt steak. The seasoning was good a nice meal with good amount of portions for the money. You will not be hungry after that. Limited hours that is the only bad thing here.

I lived down the street from Over Easy Cafe. It always had a line and a wait. I've only been one time but that time didn't really WOW me. Breakfast to me is hard because in my opinion you can make really good breakfast at home. I feel like Over Easy Cafe has a lot of dessert type breakfast options but those to me just aren't great. I'd try again but not racing there.

This breakfast spot has curated a well rounded menu with egg dishes and meats to satisfy any craving. Pre-Covid I would enjoy the mornings coming here and drinking the free coffee while you wait for a free table. This spot is situated near a park as well so after your fill your belly you can walk it off. Give them a shot if you're in the area.
