Taylor was such an amazing server, she treated us like we've been friends for years! she was super sweet and gave us amazing recommendations! She was awesome!
Went yesterday for Saturday brunch. Overall, it was a good experience. The only downfall was when the server came to our table to check on us and I literally just started eating my stuffed French toast and noticed I was also eating hair... a blonde one at that 😳 I lost my appetite after that but the server was very apologetic and the manager came to me as well and did a very good job to make it better. Thank you Ms Mackenzie and staff for coming thru with your service and assistance!!!
Made a reservation, but getting in was a hassle. Upon entering, I was told I had to wait in line, even though I made clear i was not there for the party being hosted in Joy District. After getting to the front, I was asked to pay a cover, despite my reservation. After treatying numerous times, I was let in. The rest of my party arrived a few minutes later, but were not allowed in, being told the whole party needed to arrive together. They had a screenshot of the reservation, but were still denied. I came out to try to get them in and explain they were part of my party for Parlay, there to eat and watch the game. We were told we have to get back in line. So I went back outside and did the line again. Finally, we were all allowed in and taken to our seat, but did not receive service: no water, no check-in... for more than 30 minutes. Because of the hassle to get in, we stayed and powered through. But this was an unenjoyable experience that will likely make me think twice before returning. It's unfortunate, because I like the food.
The service wasn't the best whatsoever. Lincoln Park location is EXTREMELY better and highly recommended
We had a reservation at Parlay—complete with a required credit card on file—and arrived on time, only to be told by the hostess that our reservation would not be honored and they could no longer accommodate us. There were two separate events happening: one on the first floor (where we had reserved a table), and another on the rooftop. The hostess offered us a spot on the rooftop, but it was a completely different vibe—punk rock/techno music versus the brunch day party we had actually booked, which was playing our kind of music. We were willing to be flexible and even offered to sit at the bar or any open space, but nothing was available. Bottom line: this place doesn't respect the reservations they require customers to make. Extremely disappointing experience.
My friends and I were really looking forward to brunch at Parlay, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and uncomfortable. When I calmly asked a simple question to clarify seating, the staff member who appeared to be a manager responded rudely and snapped at me about bottomless mimosas, which I had not even mentioned. From that moment on, her tone remained abrasive and unwelcoming. Around 10:45 a.m., after we were seated, she made a loud snapping gesture in the air and appeared to speak negatively about us to other staff in a very visible and unnecessary way. It felt demeaning and completely unprofessional. We came in with good energy and were excited to enjoy our time, but the way we were treated made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. I truly hope management takes time to review what happened and reflects on how guests should be treated with basic kindness and respect.
I was really disappointed in the burger they call a smash burger! It wasn't a smash burger at all, very misleading. The drinks were decent.
Would've been 5 stars but the DJ was the only one enjoying the music lol Food and service 10/10.
I went on a Saturday morning for brunch. RSVP highly recommended. Food was good and the service was quick. It was a lot going on but the servers were on point.
Highly recommend. The food was 10/10. Definitely try the French toast, brisket hash brown, chicken and waffles, and margarita mango tower. The service was excellent no complaints. However, the DJ could've been better. Learn how to read the room based on the song being played.

The dress code says no fuzzy boots. When I got there I had to pay $50 to get in because of my slides. Some BS. They didn't even care about what the reservation said. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GOOD
Security SUPER RUDE it's Mother's Day and they are out there talking completely out of line!!! Would NEVER come back!
I would definitely go again it was a vibe love the food love the drinks the DJ was playing good music all day !
I had a very disappointing experience at Parlay River North. The food was mediocre at best — not worth the price, and definitely not something I'd come back for. The service was even worse. Our server was inattentive and didn't seem to be listening, even after repeating things multiple times. The worst part was trying to get the check. We waited and waited, and even after I flagged down the manager directly, it still took over 10 minutes just to close out. The ambience was nothing special, although it was a DJ. Overall, not worth the hassle or the money.
Overall a good experience different from the first time I went there. Bottomless mimosas more expensive and different music choice from before
