Start by saying this place was SO GOOD! Our table had 3 different pasta dishes where each dish was perfect in their own way, perfectly pillowy gnocchi and al dente pasta with nice chew. The table favorite was the spaghetti with caviar. The fried calamari was also well cooked, not rubbery at all. The space was busy but not too loud and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely try to convince people to check this place out.

If you’re looking for delicious and authentic Italian food, you must try Pasta Veneta in West Loop! They make their pasta and bread daily so be sure to stop in to try out their classics, or something from their weekly specials menu. I tried out the Bread Service, Charcuterie: burrata and prosciutto, Lobster Risotto (weekly special), Gnocchi braised beef short rib (my favorite), and the Cremosa Chocolate Cake. The service was great and they were very accommodating to all questions. We received our food really quickly and it was super fresh. I was able to find free street parking which was a nice, but I imagine on the weekends parking would be tougher to find.

Had a great dinner here with friends in town. This is the type of place to go if you’re craving seafood and varied Italian dishes. Service was great, they change your cutlery between meals, staff were very kind and helpful with recommendations. Well decorated inside, makes you feel like you’re eating outdoors with a bistro vibe.Favorite dish of the night has to have been the shrimp ceviche and avocado gem salad. Refreshing! Calamari was nicely spiced, different from the usual. If you want bread service it’s $3.50 but it was very good with a yummy olive tapenade.Bottled water or sparkling only, additional $4 per large bottle. But they don’t say this up front it’s just written on the menu.Other dishes ordered were Frutti de Mare, Risotto Lobster, tuna Carpaccio. They just opened so they’re still working on quality but one piece of feedback would be that the seafood was overcooked/drier than usual. Otherwise, well done!

Left my debit card at the restaurant by mistake on Saturday evening at 6:30. Tried calling the restaurant at 7 to verify. Their phone goes to voicemail when they are open for business? Tried several times. They had my phone number from the reservation but made no attempt to call me until Monday. I cancelled the card Saturday night. What an absolutely incompetent and disrespectful way to run your business. Have they heard of Customer Service? Food was pretty good but there are numerous restaurants in Chicago that train their employees well about the number one priority to remain in business….YOUR CUSTOMER’S’ SATISFACTION.

Had a great experience at Pasta Veneta (tucked away at the West side of Fulton Market). One of the easier spots to get into in the area, but it seemed to pick up around 6:45 on a Tuesday night so depending on your group size you may need a reso!Their pastas are made in house daily so you can’t go wrong with any of the pasta combos, but the gnocchi w wild mushrooms was our favorite (especially bc the creamy sauce wasn’t too rich/heavy). Was also impressed by the tuna carpaccio. All of the ingredients in every dish tasted super fresh!! Excited to see how their menu offerings change seasonally.Follow @scungillisisters on IG for more recommendations!

What a hidden gem! The atmosphere is great and perfect for a date night or an evening just catching up with friends. They have an extensive wine list and delicious authentic Italian cuisine. Everything we had was tasty from the apps to the dessert (I could’ve licked that crème brûlée dish clean!)

Nestled within Fulton Market, Pasta Veneta holds a special allure as the sister restaurant of Osteria Del Pastaio. Conveniently located with ample parking, it offers a delightful dining experience. The ambiance is inviting, setting the stage for an enjoyable meal. Noteworthy is their commitment to crafting fresh pasta and bread in-house daily, adding a distinctive touch to the culinary journey.

This place was so cool because there aren't many places in Chicago that you can see your pasta being made! This place had a glass enclosed area in the back of the restaurant that lets you see the process and also you know you're guaranteed FRESH HOMEMADE stuff.which, that is the highlight of this place - pasta that is made in-house. Here is the good and the bad:Highlights:- Pasta is made in-house and you can taste the freshness.- One of the few restaurants in the area that you can get in without an long wait if you don't have a reservation.- Beef carpaccio and ceviche were great antipasti!- Lots of wine choices. The meh:- We got the lobster risotto and I felt like there wasn't enough lobster to justify the price- The cacio e pepe didn't feel like there was enough pepper taste to it.

Dropped in to grab a bite to eat at dinner with a colleague. It was pretty packed even around 8.30pm, perhaps as it was Chicago restaurant week at the time.Seated promptly. A few of the tables were very wobbly or already had napkins stuffed under them to avoid them rocking.Servers were friendly enough but perhaps as we were located in the corner it felt like a bit of a chore to get their attention when we needed something. The food was decent overall.

Really enjoyed my dining experience here and it exceeded all my expectations! The service and ambiance were great and the prices were very reasonable for being in the Fulton Market area. The food was delicious, we started with the focaccia and roasted meatballs, and both were great! The pasta dishes were wonderful, the lobster ravioli was my favorite of the night! Ended with the tiramisu which was also delicious. Definitely a hidden gem in Fulton Market, I will definitely be back to try more of the pasta dishes!
