The Patio was my childhood favorite, hands down. It’s such a shame to see it closed because I honestly loved it even more than Al’s Beef. Their gravy bread was unbeatable, and their fries were so good that they were the only fries I’d eat with ketchup—even though I normally can’t stand ketchup. Truly a Chicago classic that will be missed.

Just a heads up, there's a building permit and the entite interior has been gutted. A worker inside said they were fixing fire damage from 'a while ago'. He didn't know what was next for the space

The best place to go for an Italian beef sandwich. Love their hotdogs with fries. Great place for quick Italian food. the French bread is so fresh, the beef is cooked to perfection and the gravy is the bomb. The polish and hotdogs are very good too. Nice cozy place to dine.

I grew up in this neighborhood in the 80s and 90s.. I remember gravy bread being 25 cents. This place is still here for a reason, it’s WAY better than the beef place every one else knows down the street! Taylor St. hidden gem for sure!
