My favorite style of Chicago pizza is the Tavern style. Pat is known for their Tavern style pizza. It didn’t disappoint. Their portions are huge. Prices are reasonable. The next time we’re in Chicago, we will be back!

Picked up a pizza from here after a long getaway day in the city with my girlfriend. We wanted to grab it, take it home and warm it up, but the smell was too awesome and we couldn’t wait. We stopped off at a random gas station parking lot and devoured the entire pie in the car. Best pizza we’ve ever had!

Handled our large group with ease. My favorite pizza was the Quattro. Very cute place with classic atmosphere.

Pats Specialty Pizza 14” (2/5 ⭐️) - The tavern style crust was perfectly thin, but lacked any kind of crunchiness. This, combined with the extremely peppery, unevenly spread sauce made me dislike the taste.

Fried Ravioli (1/5 ⭐️) - I don’t know what happened here. The ravioli looked great but I was told to pick up the to go order in 35 minutes. I got there in 35 minutes and by the time I took a bit the ravioli was cold. Not only this, but the sauce they give you is not marinara sauce, it is bruschetta toppings. This sauce is terrible combo for ravioli and I hated the taste combined.

Caesar Salad + Grilled Chicken (3/5 ⭐️) - Grilled chicken was dry. Besides that, this was the only dish I enjoyed. The Caesar dressing was delicious. It tasted homemade.

I meant to order from Pats in the south loop, but accidentally ended up on this website bc they have similar names.

I’m definitely not coming back here and will be trying the south loop location next time.

Updated review after a decade or so from my last visit. I recall it being decent, but was really impressed this time. I can't imagine the recipe has changed much, but the crust was excellent - thin and crispy. Good toppings and sauce as well. One pizza was delayed and they comped it which was quite generous. Overall, very happy and adding it back to the rotation.
