Small but friendly place. The staff was great. We had the thin crust pizza which was a perfect old-school style pizza. Reminded me of when I first came to Chicago in the early 70s and pizza places were authentic. Would definitely recommend Pats..

One of the best thin-crust pizzas. Great neighborhood. Great customer service.

Stopped in for lunch while already in the neighborhood. Very friendly staff and host. Accommodated me when I had lost track of time and needed to change to a take out order. A bit more than I expected to spend on myself and a toddler, but she devoured her pasta and my sandwich was good as well.

Ordered cheese pizza for delivery. Arrived late it was cold and soggy. Salad was good.

The thin crust is the best anywhere.

Hands down the best pizza in Chicago ! I drove an hour and a half to try their pizza and it didn’t disappoint ! I ordered a small margarita pizza and a large pepperoni w cheese, when I came in the gentleman that greeted me was so nice , I didn’t realized I walked in the wrong door but he said oh that’s okay come this way. The margarita pizza was soooo delicious ! I love a good margarita pizza but it’s hard to find one as tasty as Pats is. I couldn’t help myself and I ate half of it on my way back home in traffic ! The pepperoni was just as good even an hour and a half later when I got home . I popped it in the oven to reheat and again devoured it within minutes ! I WILL DEFINITELY be back for the margarita pizza . I felt like $48 was a little steep but it was very good I’ll admit . I’d stop by if you have the time and money bc it’s worth it!

Tried for the first time tonight, got plain cheese tavern style delivered. Literally soooo good, super thin. It was delivered in folded paper instead of a pizza box which was weird, but the pizza was totally fine so I didn’t mind!

We were in Chicago for a couple days from Austin, Indiana, and stopped in at Pat’s for dinner based off of the great reviews and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing and excellent service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went to eat a think crust pizza with my friend who is a chef in Mexico, she likes the pizza and the cappresse salad.

Pat’s Pizza – A Disappointment from Start to Finish

I recently stopped by Pat’s Pizza, hoping to experience a classic Chicago tavern-style pizza, but the meal quickly turned into a series of letdowns.

Starting with the pizza itself, I had high hopes. Tavern-style usually promises a thin, crispy crust with a balanced, flavorful topping spread. Instead, what arrived at the table was soft pizza that lacked any real character. The sauce was notably bland—no hint of the zesty tomatoes or fragrant herbs you’d expect, just a dull, one-note base.

Ami ordered the Margherita pizza. It felt lazy, almost as if it were an afterthought. The tomatoes were roughly chopped or maybe even canned, and sparsely scattered, lacking the bright, fresh whole flavor that should define a Margherita.

And then, halfway through my meal, an unpleasant surprise wafted in—a strong, unmistakable odor of rotten fish coming from the kitchen. The smell was overpowering and immediately killed any remaining appetite I had. I decided to leave early, and in a testament to how little I wanted to finish the pizza, I ended up giving it away on the street.

Overall, Pat’s Pizza was a disappointing experience.

The food here is good and the service is friendly. In all likelihood, this really is the thinnest crust in the city. I personally prefer Kim's Uncle, but this is still very good. Worth checking out if you've never been.

Wow! The food here is fantastic. We had appetizers of onion rings & fried calamari - which were tender and cooked perfectly. We had the meat lovers pizza and Pat’s Special with sausage, mushroom, onion & green pepper. Delicious! But the star of the show was the Pork Milanese! It was incredible - so flavorful, perfectly cooked and the breading was well seasoned and not too heavy. The mashed potatoes and gravy were so good! The grilled vegetables were actually worth eating! Broccolini, cauliflower, carrots and zucchini - so good!!! It also came with soup or salad. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu! The service was great - servers were attentive without being intrusive, refills on drinks and water without having to ask. They packed up our leftovers for us. Great place!
