Well, I thought it was home-cooked, but it was not. The food was okay, but I did go close to closing time, so they were ready to leave. Overall, it was a cool little soul food joint.

The food is tasteless and disgusting! Smells like a bathroom and the food is over priced… Don’t waste your time or money coming here!!

Great historical establishment. They have A+ soul food and Kool-Aid. Yes I said Kool-Aid. The choice of 6+ meats(BBQ tips and turkey legs, meat loaf, fried chicken, baked and smothered chicken, and jerk chicken) 15+sides (beets, cole slaw, potato salad, two types of green salads, yams, dressing, baked beans, spinach, turnip/mustard, cabbage, collard greens, green beans, tomatoes, onions, peppers and I am forgetting something. Desserts-peach cobbler, banana pudding, apple cobbler...I have to stop I'm getting full just naming the food items.
Historical people have performed and dined in the walls of this gem. MUST VISIT

Worst grits ever… is basically soup… the potato’s bacon and biscuits are boom even the shrimp in the grits was good just can’t get down with the souped up grits

I’ve never been so disappointed in a meal in a long time. It was terrible. My eggs , I ask for scrambled with American cheese, the cheese wasn’t melted , just square pieces throughout . My bacon had an odd taste plus it was cold . The French toast was cold and soggy . Only was offered water nothing else and it was loud and the table was too small for 3 people. Uncomfortably small

Great chefs they have working the buffet. Great portions for your money and you're able to take food from the buffet home for a small fee

Food is great and so is customer service but it often smells like a bathroom upon entering the restaurant, they need to put doors on bathroom

I literally travel from Milwaukee WI just to go eat here ! Been coming for a couple years because the food is amazing !! But omg I’m so disgusted ! Today we seen roaches ! I’m more than disgusted I’m hurt because in my city we don’t have an all you can’t eat soul food and none of our soul food taste like pearls ! I looked passed the first roach because it was on our napkin and I figured maybe someone brought it in with them but then I went to get more food and low and behold it was another one ! 🥹! Please fix this ! Please

I wanted to give my review at the table. This is my first time visiting Pearl’s Place. The food is simply amazing. It reminds me of Thanksgiving.

I also appreciate the customer service - top-tier. Shoutout to the full staff, and a special shout out to the chefs.
