Sub par soul food at astronomical prices. you won't find their prices online. I ordered black-eyed peas and rice. it was more than twenty dollars. This is a white owned business. To their credit, they employ many blacks. Other than that the food is sub-par and overpriced.

The waitress was wonderful! Pancakes were just ok. I've definitely had better. Otherwise, the meal was pretty good.

It's old school without a doubt. The decor is a throwback to Granma's house. I wouldn't change a thing. The food reminds you of the comfort soul food Granma made, too. Bravisimo!

It has a foul smell and the food doesn't look appetizing at all, especially the buffet.

Based on location you would probably ride past here, PLEASE DON’T! You’d be cheating yourself! The food is amazing straight out of Grandma’s kitchen! The staff had great hospitality and the breakfast buffet was fresh! No old food just sitting in warmers. Please check them out! This place is a great hidden gem

First time here. Was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon, but we were able to be seated right away. The food and drinks were good as we ordered off the menu, but next time, we will try the buffet. Service was okay but seeing how busy they were and having to wait a while before even getting water or bread, they might want to have a few more servers. Would recommend it, and I would go back.

I appreciate the upscale ambiance in a community setting. Our original reservation was for 20 people. Ultimately, an additional 22 people came to share in the experience. The staff was efficient and accommodating and addressed all our needs as they surfaced. We will return for other celebrations. Our costs included brunch, beverage, gratuity, and tax. A great value.
Vegetarian options: All of the vegetable options had no meat. Our group inquired at reservation and catfish nuggets were made available by the chef.
Kid-friendliness: I saw families with children enjoying their meals.
Wheelchair accessibility: Tables can be rearranged to accommodate a wheelchair.

I'm so disappointed with my absolute last visit to Pearl's Place. Pearl's Place has been a household name for years. Famous for their delicious food and soulfood buffet which used to boast a wide variety of delicious choices with more premium meat choices available on Sundays & special occasions.
A few years ago, I noticed subtle menu changes and fewer options on the buffet and was told about the new management/partner when I inquired about the changes. The food and service was still great so no biggie.
However, today my mom and I went in for dinner around 5pm and it was horrible.
Firstly, the service was lack luster at best. Other than the mac&cheese and sweet potatoes the food on the buffet looked old and crusted over. The smothered steak was hard and chewy. The few other meat choices were tough or bland. We ordered Green tomatoes as an appetizer that were absolutely tasteless.
They removed the tomatoes from our bill but we still had to pay for buffet. So we essentially paid 30 dollars each for mac&cheese and sweet potatoes as they were the only edible/enjoyable things on the buffet.
I should have known something was wrong when there was only 2 other people in the whole restaurant and only 2 others came in while we were there during the height of dinner time.
It's official, the Pearl's Place we all loved is gone.
I know I will NEVER eat there again.
