Placed a phone order at 12:37 PM for my mom to get an omelette. Went in shortly after to pay and still had to wait a full hour siting there never hearing my name called only to be handed a cold order after I had to get up to check the status . Completely unacceptable. If you value your time and accuracy, look elsewhere. I’ll stick to iHop where the food and service is better.

I really had my hopes high for delicious soul food 😔. I have seen videos and know people who RAVED about the food being delicious. The plates came out and they were picture perfect, it was just lacking the flavor. 😩 The service was a 10/10. 😊❤️ The restaurant itself, was nice, clean, cozy and family friendly.

This was my first time eating there and I must say I was impressed with the food and service the staff provided excellent customer service and the all you can eat buffet was amazing and delicious. I will be definitely going back there soon and if you’re looking for some Gr8t soul food Pearls is the best place to go.

Sometimes we get caught up in the hype of fancy restaurants and lose sight of what we really enjoy! Well, Pearls Place reminded me of the beauty and simplicity of a nice breakfast, served by a friendly smile in a warm comfortable environment!

I search for good breakfast restaurant. My family of four and i were taking my dad out for his 83rd birthday 🎂. This restaurant made the Chicago top 20 list. I don't know why. 4 of us got the buffet while my youngest ordered off the menu. He ordered fresh toast and pancakes. He said pancakes where ok but the French toast had no and mean no texture. It was mushy like bread pudding. I sent it back. The omelet station was just ok. The jambalaya was very salty, the macaroni and cheese tasted like imitation cheese, the string beans where straight out of the can. No seasoning, no smoke meat, it was terrible. The turkey was just ok, and the fried chicken thigh took 5 minutes to chew. No exaggeration. I informed the waitress (Brittany) who was very nice. She brought the manager over and they removed one of the buffets off the check and thanked me for letting her know that the jambalaya was salty. I will never never waste my time, my energy or my money at this restaurant ever again. Pearl's place should have been on to twenty list of the worst restaurants in chicago , not the best.

I went to Pearls Place for a couple of take out dinners. I had the short ribs, mashed potatoes and mustard and turnip greens. My wife had the fried catfish, cabbage and mustard & turnip greens. Baby, when I say we were satisfied; I REALLY MEAN we were more than satisfied. Everything was FANTASTIC including the front desk greeter as well and especially the order takers. If you want good, fresh we'll seasoned food, Pearls is the spot.

The inside is a little old, yet people go to downtown or Lincoln Park and praise those places for being historical. Let’s just say Pearls is the same with great food and great service, not to mention it is clean!!

Celebrated my birthday with family at Pearl's Place tonight. Everything was perfect! Thank you to our server Jermaine who genuinely treated us all like we were family. From the buffet line servers, to the chef who made our delicious pancakes to order, to the chefs in the kitchen and the staff running the front of the store - thank you all for a wonderful experience!

P.S. The coffee was amazing!!!

Food was mediocre at best and way over priced. $83 for 2 buffet meals with no drinks. However, the restaurant was clean and the service was great.
