Absolutely fantastic wait staff (maybe the owner?), delicious food, and even had gluten free options! Especially in the recent heat wave, the strong a/c was a welcome refuge, seating was comfy, and our water was never allowed to reach the halfway mark.
My husband declared that if we lived here, this would be his new place for the Gai Kra Pao, which is perhaps the best praise it could get from him. My pad thai was equally fantastic and I'll definitely look to go back next time we're in the area.

Penny's Noodle Shop is a Wrigleyville gem. I grabbed the Pad Thai and the BBQ Pork Noodle Soup. The Pad Thai had that perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the BBQ Pork was tender with a flavorful broth. Service was quick and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made it a great spot for a casual meal. Total came to about $30, and it was well worth it.

Got the spicy basil noodles, hot pepper noodles, and fried rice. Everything was 1000/10 and insanely good prices for a lot of food. It was also all women running the restaurant which was really cool to see!! Will be going a lot more.

Has been a Thai spot staple in my household for YEARS. Grew up down the street from their Oak Park location, and currently live a stones throw away from their lakeview location. Never ever disappoints, love the staff and consistency in quality.

Wow! Seriously, this place never disappoints. My boyfriend and I frequently take out from Penny’s and every single time, they are so accommodating for my severe peanut allergy. The quality, amount, and the taste of the food is top notch. The owner is so kind and awesome! She is running an amazing business. You have to check out Penny’s Noodle shop! I can not recommend them enough

No frills, small, friendly Asian cafe with great food at a reasonable price. My wife and I had the wonton soup and it was delicious. It comes in a rather large bowl -- I was able to eat the entire meal, but my wife took half of her meal home. Service was attentive and friendly. This is a great spot if you're looking for a good, quiet meal that is just steps from the Wrigleyville party zone.

I’ve been wanting to come to Penny’s for a while since I’m always in the area. With a hankering for some noodles, I finally made my way over. I got the spicy sesame ramen. It was a little spicy without being overwhelming. The portion size was large and prices were fair. The outdoor seating was also lovely for an early fall night. I hope to be back again in the future.

Wonton soup & beef noodle soup were so delicious I already want to go back 😭😭 it's getting cold, so it's the BEST spot to get a nice warm noodle soup (highly rec the wonton soup) !! Their BBQ pork Chinese style fried rice and spring rolls were also yummy!!! 100% new favorite spot, we'll be back soon 💜💜
