We've been Pequod's fans since the 1980s and always make a point of enjoying their deep dish pizza when we're in the area. You won't be disappointed. If you think you know Chicago deep dish because you've eaten at the places in River North, all of which are of a similar style (corn meal in the buttery crust) well, think again, as Pequod's crust is different, in a great way! We love them for their homemade sausage too.

First time I had this pizza, I ordered a deep dish. I heard from peers it's very good and read the reviews, I decided to try it. I think it was plain all around, I am expected better. Maybe others like it, for me it was mostly plain ingredients, taste.

Lives up to the hype! Solid house salad and excellent pepperoni pan pizza (personal size pictured) with quality-tasting ingredients and that perfectly-caramelized deep dish crust! Bananas Foster Cheesecake rocks, as well. Fun merch available. Reservations just about mandatory.
Came for the Detroit style deep dish pizza. The place has amazing reviews and everyone speaks highly of it so we were really disappointed when we tried the pizza. The dough is dense and not airy at all and doesn't taste like it was salted. The pizza sauce was good but that was the only good thing. People working there are nice and the atmosphere is welcoming. I really wanted to like the pizza but I will not be back here.
