Based on all the wonderful reviews, I REALLY wanted to like this place and support them. But we did not have a good experience and should have walked out when we had the chance.

We'll start from the beginning. We walked in, decent, lively crowd - so we're excited to be seated. There was very loud salsa/bachata music... It was maybe 10 am on a Sunday morning - Totally unnecessary. But even if you do prefer that music, why blast it? It's not a night club but a brunch spot. Just weird to hear that music in this spot. Doesn't match the vibe, I guess because there really is no vibe.

I've been in this neighborhood for a long time, so I have dined here when Noon Kabab was in this space. It's like they just opened up shop and added some weird plastic fauna on the walls to add some color. The place still has the chandeliers and weird blue spot lighting up and it just doesn't jive. There is absolutely zero personality in this place. It's a very strange vibe and not really inviting. So drab and dull. There's also a TV on the wall that had a fake fireplace on it or something. Just so random and out of place.

The server let us know that they were unable to offer water because their filter is broken, so if we wanted water, we'd have to buy bottled water for $2 - WTF? It's not our fault that your management didn't fix the water filter - OFFER COMPLIMENTARY BOTTLED WATER for your customers! Jeez. We declined at that time and put our orders in. Two Cappuccinos ($5.25) took ridiculously long. It looks like there is only one machine but also the staff seemed not very together and likely forgot to put ours in. We were about to walk out but then he came with them. Again, mediocre drinks, nothing exceptional at all. At that point we were hoping the food would make up for it.

They increased the menu pricing from what's originally on Google from 5 months ago!! Wow. I was wondering why so many people said this place was "affordable" but then come in and the prices were higher. Sounds like they opened, got reviews that they were "affordable" and then increased their prices.

They dragged on the food. The server did apologize for the wait because they were "busy and behind" but the place was not that busy, though there were a good amount of people. Perhaps they were short-staffed in the kitchen, but it was a very annoying wait. By the time the food came, we had already finished our drinks. So I felt forced to buy a $2 bottle of water so we can try to stomach this food.

I ordered the chilaquiles verdes ($16.95 - used to be $11.95) and a side of sausage ($4) patties. The patties were gross and, while cooked, not cooked enough. I didn't even want to bother asking for them to cook it more, I was over it at that point. The beans were black beans. I've never had black beans with chilaquiles. Personally hate black beans, so I didn't eat them. The rice was fresh, but very bland. No flavor. Eggs were requested as over medium but were more runny. The chips were hard and didn't taste fresh at all - but mixed it up, and tried to eat it but I did not enjoy this meal. Seemed rushed, ill-prepared, and just uneventful.

My partner had the steak skillet ($17.95 used to be $15.95), which he said was good. Meat was decent, no fatty bits, no problem. But again, nothing spectacular.

We must have come on an off day or I ordered the wrong things, but it was such a disappointing dining experience! I'm glad other patrons enjoyed it and had good experiences, but sadly, this was not the case for us.

I regretfully dropped $66 on this place, for subpar food, service, and atmosphere. It is overpriced from this experience. I'll drive over to Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club, Harding Cafe, Tre Kronor, Dulce de Leche, Las Marias, or West River Cafe, and drop my money there before I even consider co

We had our favorite breakfast in all of Chicago at this restaurant. Would highly recommend it! The food was extremely well seasoned, the ambiance was incredibly upbeat, and our server Delano was an absolute delight. He was attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. We will definitely be going back!

I've been here twice and the food is always so good and fresh. The service is has also been great. They're very nice and friendly. I'm always surprised by how quiet and empty it is given that it's such an affordable place too!

OMG - will now be my ‘take everyone’ to brkfst spot. My girlfriend was here visiting from Belize for her birthday so took her there, EVERYTHING was AWESOME!!!
Staff /Genesis , hope I didn’t mess up spelling name was awesome- I’m a little picky but in a polite way!!!?
We had brkfst of meat lovers with pancakes ( fluffy & flavorful). Cappuccinos were perfection - not too sweet & I like special coffee drinks sweet. Was right amount(the price - great for what we got). And also had the Mango cheesecake waffle(came with a waffle cone on top of the waffle-awesome idea) with perfection side of Sunnyside up eggs(this is where I get picky- with my eggs). Just look at the pictures I guarantee you it’s better tasting than the pics look!!!!!
10/10 for Perfect Brunch . Met the chef Belman( hope I’m not butchering his name?). Said they opens little less than 6 mths ago. I WILL BE THERE often! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!!

We ordered our food through uber eats and it was extremely disappointing. The food packaging was poor, resulting in sauce spilling all over the bag. The portion sizes were small for the price. The Benedict dish did not include an English muffin, and I had to request it separately. Our order was missed, and one item was not given to the Uber driver. The $16 pancakes were small and lacked flavor. The vegetable Benedict had barely any tomatoes and was overloaded with asparagus, which was not indicated on the menu. Overall, I believe this place is overpriced for the quality of the food.
