food was amazing, service was exceptional. highly recommend. will be back anytime we are in the area.
Pizza is a very personal thing. And everyone in Chicago has an opinion about their pizza. I tried pizza for the first time a few days ago.
You definitely know that they take a great deal of pride in their baking because the crust was a very good quality. It was neither too thin or too thick or too crispy or dough… So I give him five stars on the crust.
I personally like a little more and a little less cheese, but that’s a personal preference so I’m not really gonna ding them on that. I also like a little more garlic sauce, but I think that plain too the college campus nearby they probably need to go with a little more , sweet sauce with lots of cheese. They were not stingy.
The sausage was about the right amount seem to be good quality. It wasn’t greasy so all in all it’s a solid 4.
For reference my favorite chain in Chicago is Giordano’s. I like a little zest sauce.

If you're looking for the perfect pizza experience, Pete's Pizza and Bakehouse is the place to be! I just had one of the most delightful pizzas ever, and I can't stop raving about it. The sauce—oh, the sauce! It was beautifully sweet, balanced with just the right amount of tang, making every bite pure bliss. The crust was perfectly baked, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful, but that sauce truly stole the show.
As if the pizza wasn't enough, the service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and made me feel like a valued guest from the moment I walked in. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or just someone looking for a delicious meal, Pete's is an absolute must-visit. You won’t be disappointed!

Stopped here for dinner on our first night in town, great service, food was amazing, portions are large and we had lots leftover. We ordered the 4 cheese pizza, Hawaiian pizza and fettuccine Alfredo, we were not disappointed ? Would definitely return next time.

Have been coming here for years, and just recently the place has gone downhill. Was told 50 min for my pizza, when I arrived after 55 min the food was still not ready. I have gotten a personal stuffed pizza before and it was phenomenal! This time I got a medium since I had hyped it up to friends and we were gonna split it, when I picked up we got it in box which was obviously wayyyy smaller than the pizza itself. The pizza slices ended up being all squished and mushy. The tomato salsa or marinera, whatever it is on top was way watered down this time and didn’t stay on like the previous times I’ve gotten this for pick up or as a slice to dine in.

This place is incredibly unpleasant. I like their pizza but I always dread coming in because the young man at the counter is always so angry. I get it, work sucks but don’t punish customers for it. Today I asked for two slices of pizza not heated. After charging me, The two employees just stood around sipping water not doing anything for ten minutes. After making me wait, finally they bagged the slices and unhappily gave them to me in a bag. I never post reviews but this place needs to treat its employees better so they aren’t so miserable.

This place used to be a favorite with good pizza by the slice and friendly service. But that has changed. Today July 17 at 9:35 pm- well before closing. I was trying to order a slice of pre made pizza to go. The counter lady was helping some lady fill out an application - ignored me money I. Hand. Then she told her to take a seat - I think oh great my turn. Wrong she completely ignores me and calls the delivery guy over to run his tickets with me standing in front of the register clearly intending to make a purchase. I get you got things to do but take my order throw in the oven and run the receipts while my slice is warming up. If you don’t prioritize what brings the money in - selling food- you are doomed. Even worse that lady clearly could care less that I was leaving because she was refusing to do take my order. Business 101 acknowledge every customer that enters ur business promptly. It truly only takes one bad experience like this to turn off a decades old customer. Sad. But that was truly offensive because it was intentional. And it had nothing to do with me personally. Any customer would have been ignored that dared to show up hoping to get some food. No way to do business

Pete’s is one of my favorite pizza places in the neighborhood. It’s delicious thin crust pizza.
My only complaint is we live a half a block away, and sometimes the delivery team won’t bring the pizza upstairs. Even with a delivery fee.

Even though I live close by, I had never been here because I assumed that the menu, etc. was oriented primarily towards the college students that frequent the neighborhood restaurants.
However, yesterday I ventured in, not expecting too much, and was pleasantly surprised: Eddy welcomed me graciously and was a super professional server, the place was clean, and the deluxe Italian beef sandwich, which came with fries and coleslaw, was delicious. Prices are very fair, and they have daily specials, which I definitely intend to try. One small thing: The music was great, but a little too loud for my taste. Other than that, five stars.

Tried their pizza for the first time. I liked the sizes of the pieces and the deep dish was pretty good. I’ll have to go back and try the turtle cheesecake—too full this time around.
