As much as I love the food here and I’m always supporting… I just had a spicy chicken sandwich that was reheated as if it was fresh, but it wasn’t and the fries were extremely hard. I’m very disappointed… Please don’t reheat old food that’s been sitting.

My friend and I came to visit because as BW we love to support our people. While my food was good it was very pricey. For example I payed like 15-$17 for shrimp and I only got 5. That’s crazy. My biggest concern was consistent reminder of black stereotypes. It was 2 of us and the bartender put gratuity on our bill. I’m a waitress myself so I’m an excellent tipper. She assumed because we were black we wasn’t going to tip. I didn’t make a fuss tho. I also don’t believe it’s really black owned it was only Mexican cooks and 2 black 1. that’s false advertisement. So I won’t be returning. It was also very cold.

Very cold inside. Food was microwaved. Extremely small portions. It was my second time and I said The first time I wouldn't come back because of the small portions. Practically every restaurant I visit I Rarely finish a meal because they're fairly portioned. Had I not had to use the restroom urgently When my Lady informed me that's where we were going, I would have refused. Then the plastic utensils sent me over! I was ready to leave at that moment. You serve a pricey, meal on a real plate and a plastic fork and knife is an insult. Oh! The music videos! I had no idea it was a under 21 establishment! And finally the 18% Gratuity! Well, if you " taking yours from the top" then you got yours. We're very Gratuitous, but any one of these is a deal breaker. The Salmon was tasty.

I have mixed feelings about Phlavz. As a loyal customer I clearly liked their food HOWEVER the location on 87th has given me food poisoning for THE LAST time. The first time I thought maybe it was just a fluke ...things happen... But NO yesterday I ordered the jerk chicken tips and I should have known better because the meat and fries seemed old, now I am paying for it literally and figuratively. The Maxwell location is significantly fresher EVERY time 🤦🏽♀️.

Myself and 4 of my sisters came here for a sisters night out.. our bill was $540 which isnt the issue. The service we received was horrible. Security sat us down and a young gentleman brought us water. A girl came over never gave her name or introduced herself as our server. She asked did we order yet I said no. No one came over to take it. She walks away to go chat at the bar. So I’m asking who is the server for our table. She comes over finally and ask are we ready to order still never introduced herself. She didn’t even check on us unless we was asking for something. We all ordered the lemon drop tower. One of my sister drink had a bug in it. The waiter took it back. While grabbing the glass she spilled liquor on my sister phone and on her clothes. Not once did she say sorry or anything. By the way now only one of the speakers on the phone works. It was an overall terrible experience here. We came in very nice. It felt as though we was summed up the minute we walked in the door. We spent a nice amount of money that wasn’t worth it for the service we received.

I ordered the jerk chicken alfredo and was immediately disappointed. The chicken was cooked well but wasn’t jerked at all. The pasta and sauce had ZERO flavor. Definitely not worth the price. My husband ordered the jerk salmon philly and again NO JERK flavor. His fries also came out cold. The peach and watermelon lemonades were good.
Def a vibe and the food was excellent. Highly recommend

I have ordered delivery from Phlavz plenty of times but never been to the actual restaurant. I sat at the bar. I didn't realize how small this establishment was, so I can see them getting crowded easily during their busiest times. The young lady behind the bar was very nice and attentive. I had their jerk burger and I was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly.

First I would like to say the food is good. However today while at the restaurant, I scanned the QR code to download the menu and ordered the jerk chicken alfredo with the price at $20. When my bill came I was charged $25 which I paid. After paying, I informed them waitress that the price on the menu was different from what I paid, the waitress said the price on the menu should have been $25. I explained that I was raising awareness since I had already paid. Waitress informed the manager. Manager asked me to re-scan it in her presence which I did & manager's town was accusations stating that the menu is old & must have already been on my phone and the price is $25 & that is that. Also while eating (before Bill came), me & friends observed the manager & other employees arguing with each other. This female manager is very unprofessional. 2 stars due to bad customer service.

So basically me and my sister went to this restaurant thinking we’re going to have an amazing time and eat some great food! Unfortunately it was the total opposite so we get there and security checks our bags and identification then we sat down and the water came to the table quickly that’s was about it but I’ll server takes our drink order then she came back a little bit later to take our food order mind you we’re still waiting on our drinks to come but unfortunately the bar tender girl think she’s at the club and not at work she was more interested in dancing and being on her phone then doing her job our server was literally waving the drink ticket in her face and she was literally ignoring her so that was our que to leave we literally cancelled a $100 or more order for that purpose but if you own a business please hire people who come to work to work not just to fun , customer service is very important!!! Oh and she also made our server miss out on her tip!!!
