Imagine, 200 delicious Vietnamese dishes at the restaurant, not to mention more than a dozen attractive drinks.
Absolutely banging pho. Arguably the best in Little Vietnam.

Prices are pretty affordable but cleanliness of the food is a hit-or-miss. The lettuce in my ban xeo still had a lot of dirt on it.

Was served rotten beef
The food was good, and it was a lot. However, it did take a very long time to get someone to take our order.

When I’m craving pho or just Vietnamese food in general I always UberEats from here. It’s the only place in Chicago that I’ve tasted flavorful Vietnamese cuisine.

This is my favorite pho I have had in Chicago since we moved in a little over a year ago. The location is great too, near the lakefront and surrounded by some other great places to eat. My boyfriend went for a bahn mi without looking at the menu in advance and ended up getting the curry goat stew instead. He loved it so much that he says it changed the way he orders Vietnamese food, so I would recommend that dish as well.

Had the Bun Mang Vit. Rice noodles, duck meat, & bamboo soup. It comes with the usual fare of veggies for Vietnamese soups. It was delicious, and the warmth I needed on this cold day! It was also filing and frankly feels light & healthy at the same time
Service was quick and to the point too. Never was a fan of the interrupting type of service common in US restaurants. Should I be back in Chicago, I'm trying other items

After my workout class, I decided to stop by Pho 888 for the first time. It’s a bit smaller than some other places nearby, but I was really impressed with the appetizers we ordered. The barbecue pork sandwich was amazing! However, the rice noodle soup was a bit disappointing for me. The noodles were a bit too soft and mushy, which affected the texture, and the broth didn’t have much flavor. I’d definitely return for the appetizers, but for soup

Pho 888 offers an authentic Vietnamese dining experience with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is simple, with granite-topped tables and decor that adds a touch of Vietnamese culture. This no-frills restaurant provides a comfortable and inviting vibe, perfect for a casual meal.
The pho is the star of the menu, with a rich and flavorful broth that’s clear yet packed with depth. Generous portions of tender beef slices complement the aromatic broth, garnished with fresh green onions and cilantro, enhancing each sip and bite. The noodles are cooked to perfection, with a firm yet tender texture that pairs well with the broth. If you’re a pho enthusiast, this spot is a must-try for the depth of flavor they manage to infuse into each bowl.
The shrimp spring rolls are fresh and tightly wrapped, served with a savory peanut dipping sauce that adds a nutty, slightly sweet element to each bite. They’re a refreshing start to the meal and show a nice balance of textures with the soft rice paper, crunchy veggies, and tender shrimp.
Overall, Pho 888 delivers an excellent Vietnamese dining experience with well-executed dishes and generous portions. This spot is a gem for anyone looking for comforting, authentic pho in the Uptown area.

Huge portions of fantastic food from an expansive menu for great prices. I went here for a quick family dinner on the last warm day on October and asked to sit outside. The chairs were locked up when I got there, but the employees were more than willing to unlock them and set up and clean off a table for us. The menu is huge, and they were accommodating with my allergies and told me that what I was ordering was safe for me. All of the food my family and I had was fantastic, and it all came on huge plates, far more food than we expected for the price (and of course we wound up having to take home leftovers). The place is very low key and nothing fancy, but still has a good vibe to it. The service was very good, the woman who I assume is one of the owners was very nice. Definitely going to come back here in the future.
Vegetarian options: One of my family members is vegetarian and had no problem picking something great from the vegetarian section of the menu. Though, it’s worth nothing that there is almost nothing vegetarian outside of that part of the menu and a few appetizers.
Dietary restrictions: I have a lot of food allergies and, while I didn’t expect them to rule out cross contamination, they were able to assure me that what I was ordering did not contain any of my allergens.
Parking: There is paid street parking in front on Argyle and along the adjacent streets, but the restaurant is very transit-accessible, being right by the 36 Broadway bus and right by the Argyle Red Line station.

I do not recommend taking out. Any taking out Pho will definitely ruin the broth - even if the broth is made quality. This pho place TASTED exactly like the ones I had in Vietnam. This place is the most authentic out of all the pho places in Argyle. Sorry tank pho and miss Saigon. These 888 ladies do it better.

After waiting for 35 mins for the foods when no one is here at the restaurant. Foods can’t be any more worse. Bun măng vịt tasted plain with noodles over cooked and broken into little pieces. Rice with Chrispy chicken can not be any drier annd has no seasoning in it. Chicken is tasteless and over fried. Price is over charge for yucky foods. Waisting my money!!!! Never again
