Phenomenal and unfussy place. Visited for the first time between lunch and dinner. Had the most basic bowl of phở. Each phở purveyor should have its own fingerprint, a unique stamp as to what makes its broth special. This place has it. Looking forward to many returns.

Pho No. 1 is one of the best pho places I've had not located in Argyle (or named Pho Nam Lua.)The broth is layered, flavorful, and yet, still light. The meats are all carefully curated for each bowl and do not arrive to the table already overcooked in the soup.If you're willing to venture off the beaten path, the other Vietnamese cuisine are also all solid. I suggest trying any of the dishes with the chef's caramelized sauce (but be aware that it comes with a kick).

I read the Google reviews of this place and I was really looking forward to trying some authentic Vietnamese food. I do have to say that the Vietnamese food here is authentic, however, the food quality I think is subpar. I ordered the Pho beef noodle soup, and I couldn't believe the huge amount of rice noodle that came with my Pho. It was too much. Had I known that, I would've asked for "light or easy" rice noodles.
