Yummy food! I can’t say the same about the loud music inside. It’s hard to enjoy food when the bass hits. If you’re into raves and pho, this is the place.

I ordered their beef pho (would’ve gone for the oxtail, but they were out) and it was really flavorful and comforting. I also split the Phodega Fries with a friend—loaded and deliciously messy in the best way. He went with a chicken and rice dish, which was also solid. The atmosphere is casual and fun, with a cool bodega vibe, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

One of our go-to spots for quick, delicious food in the neighborhood. Staff is great, as is the food. Plus: if you sit outside, the people watching on Division is awesome!
The Hanoi chicken with rice was incredible! I am gluten free so there weren’t many non-pho options so I was a little disappointed when that was the only thing I could order .. but wow was I so happily surprised how flavorful it was! The chicken thighs were so juicy, the pho broth for dipping was amazing, and the rice was even delicious and perfectly seasoned! Would love to see some more GF friendly rice dishes in the future but I’ll survive ordering this Hanoi chicken for the indefinite future!

Delicious! There's items on this menu is love and others that are great, and then good. Like most places. Love the atmosphere, great location with friendly staff. It's kinda a little store on the inside with neat finds. When paying the bill we also picked up some Uber cookies. One of my fave things. The stand out dish tho... the chicken skins! I've never had anything to crispy and tasty. I wanted to take some home. The broths, or soups, are packed with flavor and they are hands down a winner. Can't go wrong. The beef dip they're semi-known for was just good. Chicago is a hard city to compare that. Id say skip that dip & do everything else. Especially dessert! And it's BYO! Gotta love that, makes it great for any occassion.

One of my new favorite restaurants of Chicago. Being Vietnamese and a first generation in America, this spot spoke out to my soul in terms of the food and the vibe. They blend it so well and made it authentic to who they were growing up and who they are today.
The dip sandwich was crazy good. I never had something like that before. The sandwich itself is great on its own and when you dip it, it becomes 10x better.
The waitress spoke highly of their regular fries, and it was sneakily really good. A slept on item that you wouldn’t expect to stand out at a Vietnamese shop.
Everything about this place is fun, exciting and just overall cool. Hope the best for the Phodega business. I look forward to my next visit there.

Recommend the beef pho. There is a lot of beef in it. They played a lot of Kendrick Lamar. Wu-Tang is forever. (Would be better if ac is lower) :)

A must-try! We were in Chicago for a week and went there for our first meal, and then knew we had to go back before we left. First time we tried the Pho Bo, Marinated Pork Belly Banh Mi, and the Phodega Fries. The fries were really really good. Next time we got the Viet Dip which was even better than the Banh Mi. Their online ordering platform said they were out of the Phodega Fries so we ordered the Eggrolls, but then asked them about it and they did have the fries, which they were really nice to give us an order of the fries free of charge. The portions are quite generous and the food very reasonably priced.

This place is a breath of fresh air. I was able to try the viet dip, chicken pho, and the spicy chicken bahn mi. All 3 were amazing. Service was quick and easy. I do wish there were more available drinks, but that isn't a deal breaker. I'm definitely coming back!

I tried the Hainan chicken rice, lemongrass beef banh-mi, and Vietnamese summer salad. It was all good! Loves the ginger garlic sauce.
