Service was excellent. We ate outside and it was a beautiful night. The food was OK. We are the truffle pizza and the black pepper pasta the mushroom appetizer and we split the chopped salad. The pasta and the mushroom appetizer were good. The chop salad was good. The truffle pizza was dry and did not have enough cheese on it

It was our first time dining at Piccolo. Cute little restaurant. Nice staff. The only real downside to the evening was my boyfriend's chicken was so dry and bland, it was almost uneatable. We would have sent it back but we had somewhere to be afterwards. My pasta dish was yum. Decent place, not sure if we'll make the trip back.

I really believe the patio dining experience is the best in chicago. Beautiful evening and great ambience. The restaurant was quite busy for mid week. Our waiter Harry was knowledgeable and offered great descriptions and suggestions. The food as always was excellent. Truly a gem.
