Loved this spot! Clearly labeled vegan/ vegetarian items, big portions, and so good! I got the tofu scramble and loved it. Was full literally all day—perfect start to a day in the city☺️🥑🌇

The zombie coffee was absolutely fantastic. Been on my mind for days already, and what it again. Sadly a 5 hr drive does not warrant 1 coffee....but still tempted, it was that good! Brownie sundae was still warm when brought to the table. Large enough to share, and very good. Will definitely return when I visit Chicago again!

Pick Me Up Café is always a favorite of mine! The food and service are consistently great whenever I stop by—usually for takeout. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and they make you feel right at home. I especially love their wraps, but honestly everything I’ve tried has been fresh and delicious. Their coffee is excellent too, and I really appreciate the variety of vegetarian options on the menu. Definitely one of those spots you can always count on for a tasty meal and good vibes!

I love this quiet, cozy gem with great coffee options and a broad sweet/savory menu. Try a Zombie for a decadent caffeine spike. The grilled cheese is delicious as well.

I ordered an iced peppermint matcha latte. I asked if I could get more matcha powered added, since my drink tasted like milk with sugar. The barista explained it would be $3 extra… not worth it at all. I would not recommend for a matcha “pick me up”.

Really enjoyed the vegan benedict! Actually has a good range of vegan options for all meals. Haven't had much of the breakfast menu but all the vegan breakfast items are solid. Staff is very polite. Definitely plan on returning and trying their vegan French toast and pancakes.

This place has a warm vibe and a flexible menu for dietary requirements. I had some gluten free pancakes that had good flavor but didn't hold together well (crumbly), so that could use a slight recipe change. But overall I'd return. ☺️

Pick Me Up Cafe is a gem in the heart of Chicago. I stopped by for brunch on a Saturday. The vegan French toast was a standout—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with fresh bananas and pecans. The portion was generous, and the flavors were spot on. My iced latte was smooth and the perfect complement to the meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Whether you're vegan or just looking for a great brunch spot, Pick Me Up Cafe is worth the visit.

Our fried calamari appetizer wasn't seasoned whatsoever and fried hard. We peeled all the hard breading off and it was like eating peices of plastic. The cheese fries were delicious fries but had shredded cheese out of a bag microwaved melted on top. It did not meet our expectations and wasn't the lunch we expected for $41.00.

Great diner staffed by great people!

Definitely miss the style from the former location, even the seats that were coming apart!

We went on a Friday afternoon. It was very quiet. I enjoyed the art on the walls - especially the one wall covered with hand drawn art on paper - perhaps art done by customers.

The menu has plenty of vegan options as well as dairy. I got a latte made with espresso and oat milk. It was perfect - the ingredients were spot-on.

My friend got a vanilla milkshake with oreo, peanut butter and butterfinger. She loved it.

This was my first time visiting their new location. I used to frequent their former spot in the 2010's when they were in Wrigleyville, for late night breakfast. It was great to return and enjoy their well-prepared coffee. I would like to come back for a meal again soon.

The food was great and the service, but it was VERY LOUD on a Sunday morning. I like to hear what my friends are saying. They need some acoustic work and it will be the best of breakfasts.
