You guys need to have the two young ladies come back and services the register. The past two times that I’ve been there a young guy has been at the register and either he can’t hear or just doesn’t want to make the coffee right. I’ve asked for a latte and he just gave me a cup so that I could serve myself some regular coffee. The first time I asked him again and he had to change the order and make the latte. The second time, he just gave me a cup with cold milk in it. I’ve tried to ask him louder and in Spanish because I thought he just didn’t know English that well, but he still can’t hear or understand. The guy also needs to work on his customer service skills and put a smile on his face. Please bring the two young ladies that used to be there back.

Great little lunchtime spot, but plenty of food choices.

I can only assume this place had a change in management because the reviews from years back seem very off to me— never my experience. The food is reasonably priced for a casual downtown spot and the service has always been pleasant— especially the guy who’s always on the grill, he’s so friendly!Give it a try if you’re in the area!

Good spot for lunch by Chicago downtown river. By Apple store if you can not find it.

The food and coffee here are objectively terrible. The coffee is consistently bitter, the pastries are usually stale or have a foul taste, and the person working the register has a persistently sour mood, which is really discouraging to customers. It's a shame because their facilities are modern and in good shape.

There is an interesting selection of food here including soup, tacos, burgers, and even Asian food. Some of the food CAN be overpriced, but the burgers are a good deal. There is also a seating area that can be used even if you are not a customer, so it can be a good place to study or meet up with friends.

Best value for lunch hidden in the basement. Glad to have healthier options so close to my office. The new makeover is clean, bright, and pleasant.

Not such a great place, it's only being frequented out of convenience. The hours aren't amazing, the service is extremely slow (no one seems to be able to multitask), the food is mediocre at best, and the prices could be better. Also, the portions have been getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller...

They had 2 meat options for a bowl, chicken or pork. I ask for chicken and she starts putting what is clearly pork in the bowl. I quickly stopped her to correct her and say I want chicken. She insists that it was chicken. I take a bite, and sure enough, it was pork. Unfortunately the lack of food knowledge is very common for Pine Street Kitchen.Additionally, they have one food selection they use the whole week. By the end of the week, the food is stale, reheated multiple times, and outright deplorable. When food isn't sold that week, they use the stale food for their soups, which are uncovered and unsanitary mind you.Prices are out of control for how poor the quality of the food is. The Illinois Center is right across the street, better selection, better quality, and cheaper. I respectfully ask Zeller Realty to change the restaurant selection in this building.Although this sounds like an individual experience, I can assure you I have spoken to several coworkers who share the sentiments.***UPDATE***2 months after I left this initial review, I decided to give this restaurant another chance, but only because they are the only option in the building. I walked in and saw several new employees so I was optimistic they had people that knew what they were doing working here now. Unfortunately this was not the case. The food was cold and soggy despite costing the same amount as a meal from a 4 star restaurant. Also, I had a small container of honey mustard to put on my sandwich which they made me weigh and changed me 27 cents for. How cheap do you have to be to charge for condiments on a sandwich. Going forward, I will walk across the city barefoot in the rain for a meal before settling for Pine Street Kitchen.
